Silver Trees cottage named after its 6 silver birch trees has a delightful garden on 3 sides and is an ideal base for couples or families to explore this magnificent area with its variety of unique attractions.

The cottage is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac and is very peaceful, surrounded by mature gardens. It is cosy and comfortable, decorated in a contemporary style with many pictures and aerial photographs of the surrounding area. (Commissioned by Aye in the sky)

The cottage has electric central heating, satellite TV/DVD, I-Pod speaker dock and free Wifi.

The living room with electric stove overlooks a landscaped front garden with large picnic table and a separate dining room comfortably seats 6 people. The modern kitchen with tiled floor is fully equipped with large fridge /freezer, ideal for self -catering.

The modern bathroom has a bath and electric shower.

The cosy double bedroom and twin bedroom, both with built in wardrobes and wall and full length mirrors, overlook the landscaped rear garden another picnic table and hot tub. There is also a pretty single bedroom which overlooks the side garden. A Jay-Be folding bed can be provided for a sixth guest if required.

The fairly large garden is a particularly attractive feature of the property, with lots of heathers, conifers, perennials and silver birch trees surrounding the home on 3 sides.

The large , solid picnic table, in the front garden, can seat 8, is great for outdoor eating. A new gas B.B.Q and a further picnic table can be found in the rear garden along with the hot tub. There is no extra charge for use of the hot tub.

Side and rear garden can be lit up in the evening, allowing you to enjoy the hot tub and garden at any time. Controlled from switches in the kitchen.In addition there is solar lighting in the garden.

There is off road parking for up to 3 vehicles.

There is no problem in picking up keys as the cottage has a lock-box beside the front door so no need to have any contact. Special extra cleaning procedures in place. NETFLIX provided - watch films and T.V programmes anytime on 50 inch television Lots of suggestions for what to do in the area - you will be spoiled for choice. Pack of information will be provided regarding the use of the hot tub. Hot tub can be used at any time. Garden can be lit up at night.

Thank you for your review and for recommending Silvertrees. With regard to the issues that you mentioned, the previous guests not only left the house in a mess but damaged 2 appliances. It transpired that the guests had allowed a plastic tray to melt onto the oven base which rendered the oven unusable because of fumes. The washing machine too was rendered unusable because it would not drain water. Later investigation determined that two metal wire objects had passed through the machine and become lodged in the drainage pump such that it would not rotate. In this situation, where appliances are rendered unusable, we decided to replace both appliances immediately to minimum your inconvenience. With regard to the hot tub, the exceptionally hot weather had caused problems with a number of hot tubs in the area. In our case, the problem was traced to a motor that was overheating and tripping. Our hot tub management company ordered a replacement immediately. However, this was not received until after you had departed. While the hot tub was usable without the bubble jets, we provided monetary compensation for the reduced functionality. Thank you for highlighting the issues. As owners, we make every effort to ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
