The heated pool is securely fenced off from the patio area for the security of your children and there is a decked area with sunloungers.

La Tranche is a fantastic location for water sports and outdoor activities, and has lots of entertainment for all the family throughout the summer - mostly within walking distance! There are many cycle paths and running tracks nearby, as well as picnic areas in thesurrounding pine forests.

Further afield there are lots of other interesting places to visit - such as La Rochelle and the Il de Re (you can take a boat ride from La Tranche to visit these). There is also the Puy du Fou Theme Park - with its Gladiators, Vikings, Musketeers and Knights - a great day out.

The coast is dotted with miles of long sandy beaches and small seaside towns, with lots of restaurants serving freshly caught seafood and other local specialities.

Smoking is not allowed in the house, but is allowed in the al fresco dining area.

A Refundable breakages deposit of £200 required and will be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

30% of rental fee is due on booking to secure your stay.

Remaining 70% is payable 8 weeks prior to your stay.

Payment is accepted in Sterling or Euros, by cheque, direct bank transfer or credit card.

Further details indoors

The house has been tastefully decorated and is contempory in style. There is an open plan ground floor leading out to the patio and pool area. There is also a second smaller lounge with TV and PS2 to keep the children amused.

The TV has UK and French channels and Wi-Fi access is available on the ground floor.

In the hallway there is plenty of storage and a separate WC.

3 of the bedrooms are on the first floor and each has an en-suite shower room with shower, hand basin and WC. There is a stair gate for the security of your children. The fourth bedroom, a double, is on the ground floor and would be suitable for guests with limited mobility. (It also has an en-suite shower room.)

In the basement there is a table tennis table and tents that can be used on the beach.

The washing machine is located in the basement as well.

Further details outdoors

There is a private off-road area for parking, along with space for a further 2 cars in front of the house.

In the rear garden you will find a 9m x 5m heated swimming pool (1.1m at the shallow end and 1.8m at the deep end). There is an alarm for the pool for the security of your children and a security barrier separating the pool and patio area.

The pool is heated from May until the end of September.

The covered patio area is a great place for al fresco dining and a charcoal barbecue is available for your use.

There is also a sand pit and sun loungers for relaxing. The garden is south facing and is not overlooked by other houses.
