This very private 2 bedroom cottage, set in substantial grounds has been sympathetically refurbished, with traditional style flooring, beamed ceilings, solid wood windows, beautiful beamed ceilings, and an open fireplace.

Attention to detail has ensured the house remains light and airy despite its traditional build. There is a spacious kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and fridge freezer. The window overlooks the garden and pool . The kitchen leads up a few stairs into a pretty living room with lots of windows, fireplace, TV, DVD, CD, Comfy seating and dining table and chairs, and a door leading outside. WIFI

Upstairs the house has a pretty double bedroom with door leading outside, a twin room (which can also be converted to a double) and a luxury shower room with hydromassage shower.

Also upstairs is a very large light landing area with 3 windows and great views, with sofa bed which can be used as a further living area or as a third bedroom.

Outside there is over 5 hectares of private land including a garden area , eating area, and woodland bordering a stream. The brand new Solar Heated Pool is 10M x 5M , plus Roman Steps and 1.5M deep .

There is a good size BBQ and pingpong too!

The views of the woodland and mountains beyond, give a feeling of pure peace!

NB solar heating in a pool purely increases the temperature by a couple of degrees .

A little about location:

Situated high in the mountains 2km from the village of Corfino, this is a really peaceful retreat in the depths of the countryside, affording total privacy for a relaxing holiday. The village of Corfino itself has a basic shop, a couple of hotels with restaurants and a further two restaurants, so the house does not feel too remote! The National Park of Orecchiella is only a 10 minute drive, perfect for walking and Eagle spotting! There are supermarkets in the local village of Pieve Fosciana, a 15 minute drive and the market town of Castelnuovo is 20 minutes away.For days out, the medieaval town of Barga is 35 mins; Lucca 1 hr 15 mins, Pisa, 1 hr 35 mins.

TOURIST TAX - Do note that there is a local stay tax applicable at €1 per person per night, up to a maximum of 5 nights. This does not apply to children under 14.
