'Weavers Cottage' is a very comfortable well furnished cottage, a well appointed property situated in a perfect spot, off the common and yet very central to all amenities. It has been furnished with great attention to detail, as we like to live in comfort!

Outside space at the front (with table and chairs) so your party can sit and watch the world go by whilst enjoying a drink (or fish and chips), cup of tea etc.. The cottages have a real 'holiday feel' about them because of the location, and yet are very homely.

There is parking (subject to availability) but we and our guests never generally have a problem parking in the lane, and there is always additional (free) parking on the common nearby which is 2 mins walk away and directly accessed on foot via Spinners Lane. It is always easy to unload/load your luggage right outside the property as Spinners Lane is a no through road which is tucked away and unknown to the majority of people! It's really an idyllic spot/great for dogs and anybody who loves a walk on your doorstep! It's handy to walk from here over to Walberswick (over the bridge or take the one man/woman driven ferry) or to the harbour.

The living room is very comfortable, with adequate seating for 7 (we've managed 12!) flat screen TV, Blu ray DVD player and a very comprehensive selection of books and DVDs to suit all tastes. If you wish to accommodate extra bodies (discuss beforehand, we would recommend 4 persons max for comfort but we can provide a comfy double roll up mattress for an occasional extra 'body'.) The kitchen is well stocked, we have a larder fridge but we also have an ice making machine (much quicker than making ice in the freezer)! There is a small enclosed area at the back of the property and visitors are allowed access over the rear of no 6. All our guests remark upon the location, it really is perfect because you have the best of both worlds/peace and quiet when you want it and yet the convenience of being just a couple of minutes away from the Fish & Chip Shop, less than 5 minutes walk to the High Street-all Shop/pubs/restaurants/the beach is 7 mins walk away. Read the reviews for both Loom and Weavers (next door to each other) to gain an insight.....we have people who return year after year. They love it almost as much as we do! It is also possible to rent both cottages at once for a family gathering which allows a bit more privacy than just one big house! Please note: Travel Cot/High Chair and stair gate available (please ask) which we can provide free of charge. We do allow dogs-please discuss prior to booking if you wish to bring 2 and there is a pet fee £25pw/per pooch and £10 per pooch for short breaks.

We have a Key Box, so guests have total privacy and independence. However, we are just up the road, so we are always on hand if we are needed/in the event of an emergency/ and we are always happy to help/will answer any query at whatever time! We are very approachable, so we have struck up some friendly relationships over the years but ultimately, we are not the interfering kind so we leave our guests in peace!

Why can't I call Kerry (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to view all your booking details, pay the balance of your holiday or cancel it if you need to.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Kerry (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kerry (the owner) a message.

If Kerry (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
