Why squeeze yourselves into one cramped room when you can have an entire peaceful cottage to yourselves at Les Cerisiers, with all the amenities of a wonderful village right on your doorstep. Les Cerisiers is a pretty stone cottage set on a quiet country lane, an easy 700 metres stroll from stunning Monpazier, an iconic Dordogne village, and "One of the Most Beautiful Villages of France".

Explore nearby historic Chateaux: Beynac, Monbazillac, Biron, Milandes, Castelnaud, Fenelon & Puymartin. Minutes to other picturesque classified villages like La Roque Gageac, Domme, Sarlat, Belves, Limeuil, Monflanquin. Amazing caves like Font de Gaume or Lascaux II, Grottes de Proumeyssac & Maxange or glorious gardens like Marqueyssac & Eyrignac. Dive into the bustling weekly village markets, or relax under a shady tree in the orchard, or just unwind on the front lawns overlooking Monpazier as the sun sets. The cottage sits on four peaceful acres, so you feel completely immersed in the tranquil French countryside...with this beautiful active village on your doorstep.

In cool months, settle before a cosy fire after a walk in the oak forests of Biron. In summer enjoy the riverbeaches at Limeuil, Tremolat & Vitrac, or nearby swimming lake at Lanquais. Les Cerisiers, now a cosy couple's retreat, was the gatekeeper's cottage for Villa Ste Therese (which can be rented separately - see Listing No 161201), which sits 70 metres away, beyond hedges, laurels & walnut trees, & shares the rambling gardens.

PLEASE NOTE for bookings in Summer months: Changeover day is strictly SATURDAYS, so we can't offer midweek arrival or departure days then, sorry! We can be more flexible in the other months.

For couples with a young baby (<12 months old) we can offer portacot, baby bath & highchair for a small fee.

COVID SAFETY POLICY: Guests can be assured we follow strict cleaning & disinfecting protocols in accordance with local French Government guidelines, using recommended anti-viral and anti-bacterial cleaning products on all surfaces, ventilating the property between visits, and hot-washing laundry services. We also provide Contactless Access on arrival day. In keeping with French Govt Covid regulations, we ask our Guests to abide by all public safety protocols & venue requirements during your stay. Les Cerisiers is the gatekeepers cottage for Villa Ste Therese. The Villa's four acres of grounds were landscaped 50 years ago, in the French tradition of a gentleman's country house - hedging, shaped shrubs, established large deciduous trees, creating a vista in all shades of green. A series of stone-walled terraces on the southern slopes lead down to the orchard below - a wonderful place to explore & enjoy...plums, figs, apples, peaches, walnuts, cherries...so help yourself if they're in season!

The northern lawn in front of Les Cerisiers has plenty of room for petanque or badminton. These wide lawns, plus large cherry trees, walnut trees and laurel hedges create privacy & space between Les Cerisiers & the Villa, located 70 metres away. We love the fact that we can walk into the village in 5 minutes & relax with a coffee just to watch the world go by! Monpazier's accredited as 'One of the Most Beautiful Villages in France' so we never tire of its ancient beauty and gentle pace.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
