Le Chatox is a four bedroom, two bathroom spacious, open plan chalet with luxury facilities completed in July 2009 with private parking for up to 4 cars. Its idea for friends and families to join up for a taste of the 'real alps'! We are just 55mins from Geneva airport. We can offer the best cycling terrain on earth on roads ridden by top cyclists, skiing in 5 resorts all just 30mins away and at the kind of prices you won't believe compared to the bigger resorts (€120 for a weekly lift pass!) or cheap day passes. The ski resorts are perfect for young families, beginners and intermediates. Les Bauges (the Wallows) is a national park and area of outstanding natural beauty so for walking and unwinding its a perfect retreat.. You are based in the sky at 700m (2,200ft) altitude and a short drive from Lake Annecy, Aix-les-Bains and Albertville for day trips and excursions. Mt Blanc is a guest favourite. Natural light is a huge part of the design of this modern yet rustic alpine retreat. A private garden area means children can play safely. It has stunning mountain views from its huge terrace balcony and a wood burning stove - perfect for a romantic evening in with a glass of wine. Many guests have commented on the star gazing at night from the terrace. Open, spacious and with natural light bursting through, Le Chatox is our home from home waiting for you to experience. Underfloor heating keeps you cosy in winter plus the wood burning stove for the real alpine feeling of warmth and comfort. In summer you can dine out on the terrace balcony and hold BBQ dining on patio. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Wendy is a keen cook and has made sure that she has everything needed to bake, roast, boil, grill and fondue! Relax in the lounge, play a CD, watch a movie from the film collection or play cards, board games or guitar with the kids! Bird watch with binoculars and watch the amazing star show at night. The lounge on the first level has a large L shaped sofa looking directly at the mountains.There is an additional two seater sofa to pull in for cosy evenings around the wood burning stove and even a rocking chair if you really need to nod off early…. Electric blinds fold down on the touch of a button on the entire 1st floor and in the morning its magical to let the sun burst through with a flick of a switch.The open plan area moves back into the large kitchen area which is modern, bright and fully equipped with the additions of a microwave, toaster and Dilongie coffee machine for fans of freshly ground espressos and cappuccinos. Morning tea or coffee on the bedroom balcony is a great way to start to the day… Also on the first level is a large shower room . A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is available and can double as a boot room for skiers to dry out there linings on the underfloor heating. The bedrooms are all on the second floor – one double, three twin. There is an additional balcony upstairs fronting two bedrooms and a large bathroom with additional shower. All twin rooms have a velux window and blackout blind.
The cave/garage on the ground floor can store all your sports equipment, bikes and skiing gear and keep your car safely away from the snow if skiing. We have a brand new team table tennis table and darts for family tournaments! Beach equipment, badminton and tennis all in the 'cave' for your use at no charge.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Paul (the owner) a message.

If Paul (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
