If you are thinking of coming to this beautiful part of the world why not stay somewhere which is as equally beautiful! Perfectly situated to explore either the countryside or the coastline this bungalow is indeed a great place to stay. With all the facilities that you could need to make your stay as welcome as possible the bungalow is perfect as a holiday home, but when the beach is so close this makes this holiday home ideal! We take a special interest in this family run business which we have been operating since 2003. Personally cleaned and prepared for every guest to highest standard. Spacious and well equipped with 3 bedrooms, bathroom, living room, kitchen / dining, utility, cloakroom, detached garage and fully enclosed gardens. Unlimited wireless fibre broadband internet connection. Hotel grade memory foam mattresses throughout - ultra comfortable bedding. Welcome pack provided. We look forward to welcoming you... :)

We have a key safe for key collection. You will be issued with a code prior to arrival. On departure you are asked to lock up and put keys in the key safe. Fibre broadband. We provide a welcome pack. We clean and prepare the house personally and it is presented to a very high standard. We are always available by phone or email during your stay and have a key holder who lives in the village who can assist if required. We look forward to welcoming you!

Let me try to explain the reason for this review ... This guest was of the opinion that he was due a refund of their damage deposit. I tried to explain, with a price breakdown, that when you book through Tripadvisor the damage deposit is held on your card and you do not actually receive a refund; if I make a claim it is charged to the card you pay with. There was no damage and none of the deposit was held. I got in touch with the guest and received a reply to say they were happy with everything at Castleshaw but they were not happy with the Tripadvisor customer service team who apparently did not reply to their emails. I have been in touch with Tripadvisor to see if the review can be removed as it does not actually involve Castleshaw Holiday Home but I was told that the review could not be taken down which I find bizarre. In our defence, please find below the reply I received from the guest which explains things and paints Castleshaw Holiday Home in a better light. I am very disappointed that this has happened as we take great care to ensure guests are always happy at the end of their stay. This was just one of the cases that I had knowledge of. Please see a copy of the guest’s reply, directly from my Tripadvisor inbox: Hi Edward Thank you for the email I am sorry if I indicated your holiday home was not perfect Your home was A1 and I had a great holiday and would give you top marks for the experience I was giving low marks to Trip adviser for their lack of after sales contact as I tried on a number of occasions to contact them without success It should not infer that the holiday and the home were not of the highest quality I am sorry for any hurt caused Thanks

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Edward (the owner) a message.

If Edward (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
