Skeabost Wood Cottage is an eco-house designed by a renowned local architect. Set in 3 acres of unspoiled woodland with its own stream, the cottage is the luxuriously appointed with every mod-con, only 5 miles from Isle of Skye's 'capital' Portree.

Main Cottagw : 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, bathroom with bath and shower and downstairs toilet .

Large modern open plan living area, with dinning room and kitchen. Private drive with ample parking and ramp accessibility.

Skeabost is a sheltered and beautiful spot close to Skeabost loch. The cottage overlooks the Snizort River -one of Skye's best salmon fishing rivers, and yet is just a few miles from picturesque Portree with great seafood restaurants, supermarket and shops.

Skeabost Wood Lodge - a separate bespoke cabin with large windows looking onto the wood, with twin beds and integrated free standing bath, set in the middle of our private wood, perfect for a bit of extra privacy for larger parties of guests. Note about 20 metres away from main cottage down a small wood path .

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off road parking. Decked balcony to front. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 5 miles. Note: There is limited mobile phone coverage at this property, but we do have WiFi !

The house is surrounded by a lovely sheltered and unspoiled wood, great for kids to explore in. Its also very close to the River Snizort for salmon fishing [seperate permission and payment needed].

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Charles (the owner) a message.

If Charles (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
