From the owner

Groves Cottage is an individual weather boarded single storey cottage in a quiet lane in the heart of the conservation area of the village of St Margaret's-at-Cliffe. The cottage affords opportunities for walking and cycling, exploring the beautiful historic Kent coastline.

Groves Cottage is set in the middle of its garden with adjacent parking for up to two cars. St Margaret's-at-Cliffe has one pub which serves food. The village also has a General Store and Post Office. Traditional tea shops are a short walk away, as is the beach at the nearby St Margaret's Bay, where there is a further Pub and Snack kiosk.

Local eateries deliver to the village through delivery apps or their own delivery services. The Cottage is ideally located for visits to the Cathedral city of Canterbury for shopping and sight-seeing and the history of Dover and its castle and also to the many other wonderful Kent attractions.

Perfect cottage
Dec 2023

Wonderful place to stay, excellent facilities, the best nights sleep with the comfiest pillows. The Christmas tree was perfect, topping off the cosy Cottage, we didn’t want to leave.

Delightful cottage

Response from the owner
Thank you for your kind review. I do understand that you obviously have specific mobility issues and I sympathise. I am always happy to answer questions regarding guests concerns prior to booking and I have welcomed many older guests over the years with no issue. It is difficult to cover everything in the write up but it is highlighted that the property will not suit everyone with the small steps throughout. Chairs within the lounge do have arms. The decking area is the only flat area in the garden for seating and it has to be suitable to be out in all weather conditions. We will give further consideration to your comments to see whether improvements can be made.
