From the owner

Old shepherd's house, in the tiny village of Saint-Dézéry near Uzès. The house is part of a farm and is built against the old sheepfold and silkworm barn. Sheep and silkworms have long gone and we have transformed the cottage into a cosy accommodation, while trying to retain its original humble character. Our family has been farming in the village for over 400 years and still lives on the farm.

Between Provence and Languedoc, the sea and the Cevennes Piedmont, our little village is a great base to explore a very rich and diverse region. Whatever your age and interests (nature, sports, history, culture, wine, gastronomy...) you will find a vast array of historical towns, colourful markets, activities and attractions within an hour's reach. Winery tours can be organised all year round and in winter discover the moreish flavours of the black truffle with truffle centered markets, menus and events in January

The apartment offers on the ground floor a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with dining table, sofa, TV, separate WC. The kitchen opens on to a terrace overlooking the garden and pool.

The first floor is air conditioned and comprises a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a shower room with WC,

The back of the house gives onto the shared garden and pool (12.5m x 5m) and a large olive grove.

This 2 bedroom house can be booked with the Authentic Winemaker's House (3 bedroom house, Holiday Lettings ref 214561)

Baby equipment available on demand (high chair, changing mat, bath)

Prices include house essentials and bed linen are provided

Response from the owner
Thank you so much for staying with us and your very kind feedback. It is always lovely to have guests with so much interest in discovering the area and the local history. We are certainly blessed with a lot of interesting sites to visit nearby but not everybody puts so much energy into exploring them. We would welcome you all with open arms if you return sometimes...
