The apartment is situated by Edinburgh's ancient and historic Grassmarket, with its cosmopolitan variety of cafes, bars, restaurants and quirky shops.
A 10 minute walk will bring you to our famous Princes Street and its gardens. Many of the museums, galleries and attractions in Edinburgh city centre and the Royal Mile are also an easy stroll away. The apartment is located in a quiet part of the building, away from the bustle of the main street. It is part of a gated community, with security entry.
The comfortable apartment is furnished to a high standard and comprises of a spacious living room open plan to a fitted kitchen, a bedroom with a king sized bed (queen size in USA) and a shower room. This apartment suits small families, groups of friends, couples, singles on business and people visiting students.
If two guests stay, and require both the king bed and sofa bed, the sofa bed can be made available by request. There will be an additional one off charge of £20 to cover the extra linen and labour. This is payable on arrival.
A cot and high chair are available on request. There is a charge of £15 for one of these, £20 for both.

Arrival is normally after 3.00 and check out by 11.00 although where other guest bookings permit, these times can be flexible. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included in the cost.
There is a weight limit on the sofa bed of 14 stone, 200lb or 89 kg. Please only use the sofa bed if you have arranged this in advance.

A stylish and modern room apartment in a superb central location. The living room is bright and spacious with a comfortable sofa which seats two plus an armchair. The dining table is situated in front of a large, mullion paned window from where you can look out to the top of the Royal Mile while eating. There is a flat screen TV with Freeview and a DVD player. Free Wifi is available. A small selection of novels and tourist guides are provided for the use of guests. Peaceful and quiet, a perfect place to relax after a day's sightseeing. The kitchen is a open plan to the living room.. It is well equipped, with a wide range of good quality utensils and equipment including cooker, hob, fridge, washing machine/dryer, cafetiere and microwave plus all the usual crockery and utensils you would expect. In the cupboards, you will find tea, coffee, sugar, salt, etc.
The bedroom is light and airy with a very comfortable king sized bed (USA queen size). There is a wardrobe, with generous storage space and a hairdryer is also provided. The curtains have black out linings. There is a new and modern bathroom which has a shower, a toilet, and a wash-hand basin.
Due to the layout of the building which is built into a hillside, you enter on the third floor and ascend two floors to the apartment on the fifth.

The apartment block entrance is through a security coded gate. There are small communal gardens in the centre of the block which are attractive and well maintained. A good supermarket is 50m away, and there are cafes, restaurants and bars in abundance nearby.
As the apartment is next to the Castle, for 3 weeks in August you will hear the Tattoo and can enjoy the end of Tattoo fireworks at 10.30 every week night and midnight on Saturdays.
There is free parking in metered bays close to the apartment from 18.30 each night until 08.30 in the morning and from 18.30 on Saturday night through to 08.30 Monday morning. Monday to Saturday you can pay to park in these bays (maximum 4 hours). The best value option tends to be private parking spaces advertised online by their owners.
