La Porcherie is a lovely holiday cottage that can accommodate up to 6 comfortably with a maximum of 3 adults and 2 children plus a baby - there is space for a cot in the double room upstairs. The Porcherie is perfect for families with young children. The ground floor ensuite bedroom has a small double bed that is perfect for a grandparent or older child wanting to holiday with you but giving you both your own space if required. The Porcherie is equally great for couples and we are happy to offer a reduced rate out of high season for only using the main upstairs bedroom and bathroom.

You enter La Porcherie through a conservatory, a dining table makes this a lovely dining area to enjoy the warmth of the Dordogne sunshine and enjoy your croissants and bread in the morning. There is an open plan lounge and kitchen.

1 ground floor double bedroom with en-suite shower room : conservatory dining area : newly installed kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and microwave : open plan lounge : top loading washing machine : satellite English TV – Freeview channels : wifi internet access : DVDs : covered terrace with table and chairs for dining : charcoal BBQ (coals not included) : decked area with table and chairs.

Bath towels, pool towels, bed linen, tea towels and bathroom mats are all included : stair gates, high chairs and a changing mat can be provided free of charge :

As well as your own terrace and garden area there is a large shared garden offering swings, trampoline, slides, toddler see-saw and slide, table tennis table, badminton, boules/petanque pitch, footballs and a goal and other garden games. The 12m x 6m swimming pool is fully fenced and offers sun loungers on a raised decking area, table and chairs and an all important hammock in our shady abri.

We live on site and will welcome you to Chauffour unless you are going to arrive late and then we may leave the keys for you and meet you later. We leave a tourist information book in the property but are happy to advise on the best things to see and do while you are in this beautiful area. We enjoy meeting all our guests and are there to help if you need us but equally happy to leave you to have a great holiday.

Why can't I call Jaqui and Malcolm (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jaqui and Malcolm (the owner) a message.

If Jaqui and Malcolm (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
