A former Fisherman's terraced cottage perfectly positioned above the picturesque fishing harbour of Brixham, offering panoramic views across Torbay, and with large secure car park.

Whatever the weather, you can sit and watch the maritime activity - from lifeboats, trawlers and the heritage red-sailed fishing fleet, to seals and occasional dolphins. You can sample the huge range of attractions, activities and events available locally. If you fancy a dip, the secluded pebbly Fishcombe Cove is just at the end of the road, with sandy beaches a country walk (or short drive) away. The cottage sleeps up to 7 people, has secure parking, an adjacent bus stop and is a short walk in to town.

A comfortable home from home, this surprisingly spacious 3-bedroom cottage with wi-fi has been renovated to a high standard and designed to make the most of the amazing sea views.

The large living room with pub-style football table and piano has French doors into the garden and patio area with sweeping views from Torquay across to Brixham Harbour, or on a good day to Portland Bill. It gets the morning sun, ideal for an al fresco breakfast with a view!

The master bedroom boasts wonderful views and has a double bed, with a single 3' bed and cot in an annexed room. On the top floor is a twin room with sea views and another double room. The cottage's design means that it feels cosy enough for 1 or 2 people, but can easily cater for up to 7.

The well-stocked kitchen has gas hob, electric double oven, washing machine and fridge/ freezer.

A fantastic asset in Brixham is the secure private parking for up to 3 cars adjacent to the cottage, with boat parking by prior arrangement. There is a bus stop very close but, if you can manage steps, it is only a few minutes walk to the bustling harbour itself. There is a huge variety of shops, cafes and restaurants to suit everyone's pocket, with an excellent museum and attractions such as the replica Golden Hind. There is also the CAMRA Award-winning Queen's Arms pub on the other side of Furzeham Green under the railway bridge, which often hosts live music and does good cider as well as Real Ale.

For beautiful scenery, the South Devon Coastal path is at the end of the road, with Paignton and Torquay in one direction, and Berry Head Country Park with its Napoleonic fort to Kingswear and Dartmouth in the other (or you may just want a shorter walk through Battery Gardens with their WW2 museum and on to the 12th Century Churston Court Inn).

For families with children, the park is just over the road, with a playground, football pitch and tennis/ basketball on the top green, the Admiral Indoor Pool or Shoalstone Outdoor Lido less than a mile away. A cot is provided with bedding and a highchair on request, and there is a collapsible safety gate on the bottom stairs.

However active you want to be, there is something to suit everyone nearby - from various water sports eg diving, boating, water-skiing; to bowls, golf, go-karts, and Battlefield Live; from lazing on a beach at Broadsands or by the open-air pool at Shoalstone, to having fish and chips or an ice cream and watching the world go by!

Regular ferries are available to Paignton, Torquay and Dartmouth, with cruises to see wildlife, the geopark or go fishing. Take the steam train to Kingswear, visit Agatha Christie's Greenway House and National Trust's Coleton Fishacre or just relax and enjoy yourself!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Katy (the owner) a message.

If Katy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
