The cottages"la Franchina" are two small houses, with three small frontsea cottages, built of dry stone in the typical ancient"Salentina"architecture,once used as a “pagliara” (a place to store hay and equipment). La Franchina is located between Otranto and S.Maria di Leuca, in the locality of Tricase porto, in a charming position just a few meters from the sea. The central cottages(looking the sea) called "MAREBLU" has 1 bedroom and a single bed in the livingroom, kitchen and bathroom .The cottage has his own wonderful big covered veranda with table for 4 people, rocking chair for 3, bbq and sunbeds all in front of the sea.The rustic garden,located on a down hill that reaches a pristine reef,is filled with secular olive trees, holm-oaks and mediterranean plants.The common garden is equipped with an outdoor barbecue and hammocks, offering to the guests splendid shady corners to relax.In the garden there is also a big common terrace with a beach umbrella and sunbeds .The sea below; visible from the covered veranda is crystal clear.The sea is easily accessed by stone pathways leading directly to the living reef. There are no sand beaches at this particular portion of the coast, however sand beaches are accessable 11 km away.Pets allowed .

    Beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing.

    Bruno's place is in a peaceful area off the beaten path. The views are magnificent. I could have spent the whole time on the front porch watching the water and sky!
