Casa do Azulejo is truly superbly located, in the quiet lower part of the Bairro Alto, a very famous nightlife spot with trendy bars, restaurants and fashion shops, while very close to the Chiado and all means of transportation: tram, buses and subway.

Casa do Azulejo is located on the 1th floor (no elevator) of an old building, which has a tile covered facade, a traditional feature of Lisbon's architecture.The recently renovated 19th-century building offers vintage charm combined with modern flair.

The 55 m2 apartment with wooden floors features two bright bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, and a stylish living/dining room with decorative wooden beams. The master bedroom boasts a comfortable double bed and wall art. Offering a fairytale beauty, the second bedroom contains a large single bed and elegant decorations. The stylish kitchen is fully fitted, and the sleek bathroom offers a walk-in shower.

It is ideal for a family with one children and a baby, or a group of friends as it can accommodate up to 3 adults.

ADDITIONAL FEES

1. Tourism City Tax

Dear guest, please note that from the 1st of January 2016 a city tax of EUR 2 per person, per night is not included in the total price and should be paid on site. This tax is charged to guests aged 13 and older. It is subject to a maximum amount of EUR 14 per guest.

2. Extra person fee (paid upon booking or check-in)

After two persons each extra person will have an additional fee of 15 euros per night. This includes a baby or a child.

A crib, high chair and bath tub can be provided. The crib will be assembled in the single bedroom.

3. Laundry fee (paid upon booking or check-in)

The use of both bedrooms per two persons will have an additional fee of 10 euros per night.

In case you're not using the single bedroom, it will be left closed during your stay.

4. Extra cleaning fee (paid on site)

In stays longer then 7 days, a weekly cleaning of 30 euros will be done to the apt and charged to the guest. Clean towels and bed linens will be provided.

5. Electricity fee (paid at check-out)

During winter the electricity consumption increases due to the electric heating usage.

Since this variable depends on guests usage of heating it can generate unexpected bills if a wise usage isn’t made.

So if you book the apt during winter you will be asked to pay the electricity in case you spend more than the average consumption of 2 euros per day.

A reading of the electricity will be done at the check-in and check-out so that you know exactly what you have spent. The electricity cost is 0,18 euros per kwh. In case the average consumption is overpassed the difference will be charged.

Late checkout, when there are no guests coming on the same day, is possible, at no extra cost, just ask first!

PICKING UP THE KEY

After you do the reservation we will be sending you an email with info regarding your stay, details of how to get to the apt, how to collect keys, and other important info. So please read the email and answer as soon as possible with your travelling plans so that we can get the apt ready for your stay.

Due to our obligation by law to communicate the entry of foreigners in the country to the Portugal Borders Service we will also be asking for identity details of all the guests staying at the apt.

ARRIVING FROM THE AIRPORT

1. Subway - you can catch the subway until Rato and them walk 10 minutes.

2. Taxi - You'll charged around 15/20 euros including luggage and will take between 15/20 minutes.

ARRIVING BY CAR

In the historic areas parking is restricted to residents.

Guests can only park during weekends and week nights.

However it is possible to park the car 200m away for 26,40 euros per day, or in a car park at the Marquês de Pombal for 4 euros per day at the distance of one subway station.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Cristina (the owner) a message.

If Cristina (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
