The Porthole has the coast lover in mind, comfortable and contemporary with sea views, ideally located half way between the beach and Croyde village with facilities for both active and restful days. This high standard fully renovated detached holiday home is perfect for families of max 4 including infants and over 24s mixed friend groups only. Not ideal for the elderly. At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac it has a safely enclosed back garden which is a sun trap, with a generous 10m decked area and a grass for relaxing on too. Inside it is warm and comfortable with new double glazing and central heating making it super cosy all year round. An airy newly appointed and furnished open plan ground floor with Smart TV is perfect for a sociable holiday. Superfast WIFI and smart TVs in both bedrooms and lounge will keep you entertained. You can choose to open up the patio sliding doors to the garden deck which is equipped with picnic table and benches, massive turquoise beanbags, deck chairs and BBQ. The twin room has beautiful uninterrupted views out to the sea and over Baggy Point and its own family sized bathroom, whilst the double has a good sized ensuite with generous walk in waterfall shower. Downstairs is a 3rd bedroom with ensuite shower. Sink into award winning Soak and Sleep Feather and Down bedding with White Company linen and step out on lovely new carpet in both rooms. Having run a B&B I know a good night sleep makes for a good holiday. There are even 2 depth pillows for back or side sleepers.Travel cot mattress size 122x60cm.This winter the house has been completely gutted and everything is new, classic, chintz free and fresh. In the shed you can store all your sports equipment and Croyde offers as much activity as you can take. Note that no Bath or Beach towels are provided. Unfortunately not suitable for elderly or disabled guests. There is an electric car charging point nearby but charging at the house is not permitted.

Lovely well equipped house. Easy access to beach and Croyde village. Wi-Fi a must when you have teenager permanently attached to their iPad. Kitchen great and three bathrooms fantastic. A lovely stay.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jane (the owner) a message.

If Jane (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
