The apartment is positioned on the first floor of the Villa Le Cannicelle which is located in Villammare in a strategic position, in between the sea and the hills, 600 meters from a long sandy beach.
On a hillside at 124 ft. above sea level, the villa commands a spectacular Mediterranean vista - views stretching down to the farthest mountains of the Calabria region (the mountain range that soars above Diamante and Paola) on one side and as far as the Punta Infreschi and the wild coastal tract bearing the same name between Scario and Marina di Camerota on the other side. Two thirds of the estate is covered with lush woodland thick with cork oak, a plant typical of the environmental niche stretching along the coastline of the Bay of Policastro between Santa Marina and Sapri. Surrounded by a big enclosed garden, it is the perfect accommodation for families with children and for those who wish to take their pets on holiday with them!
In the morning, after a good sleep, guests on the first floor can choose how to start their day – either on the kitchen terrace looking out over the hillside, enjoying the view of the Mediterranean flora (macchia mediterranea), or, still sleepy, taking a stroll on the big terrace and admiring the glittering seascape of the huge Policastro bay, from the coastline to the horizon.
The south-facing terracotta paved terrace is furnished with table, sunshade and teak armchairs where you can enjoy your meals al fresco, starting with breakfast amidst the scintillating sea light and singing of birds.
The bedroom faces the sea. The wrought iron double bed has a very comfortable mattress. In the large living room there is also a cozy double sofa bed. An additional single bed in the bedroom is available prior arrangements. Air conditioning favours a pleasant stay in the warm season.
In the fully fitted open plan American-style kitchen guests can prepare their delicious meals.
Guests stanyig at the property have also shared use of garden, swimming pool, large loggia with solarium, barbecue area, outdoor showers and taverna - the area under the porch with summer kitchen, wooden tables and benches.
The nearest beach is 10 minutes walking and the "marina" of Villammare is less than 1 mile therefore you could go walking but car is recommended because the last part of the road to the villa is steep (that's the reason why the villa has such a nice views!).
Villammare is lively at summer and there are bars, chalets, and shops. It is not a place spoiled by massive tourism and you will find a friendly athmosphere all around and an autentic glimpse of Italy. Restaurants in the surrounding as well as "trattorie" and "pizzerie" serve very good food.
Moreover the Villa is in the "National Park of Cilento" (UNESCO world heritage) so you can go on a lot of excursions in suggestive natural places, whether in the mountains or at the sea.
