Another beautiful quiet beach is at Skinningrove ( only nine miles away) and is on the Cleveland way and is dog friendly all year round.

The village has a lovely tea room, two traditional pubs, the river Esk, a tiny station which has a small train service into Whitby so no need to drive, there is also a great little co-op. Everywhere in the village is dog friendly. To top it all ,the walks are in abundance just outside the front door.

Places to visit.

In the North York Moors National Park, Goathland has plenty of walks in almost every direction for you to explore. Waterfalls are in their abundance here too, the most well known being the Mallyan Spout,(beware though lots and lots of steps) .Goathland's biggest claim to fame was serving as the set for the fictional town of Aidensfield in the Heartbeat television series, set in the nineteen sixty's. You will notice many of the series' famous landmarks are still recognisable including the pub, railway station and garage. On top of this, Goathland railway station was selected as the location for Hogsmeade railway station in the phenomenal Harry Potter films, the line was even filmed for Harry's journey.

Goathland has a station on the fantastic Northmoor's Railway where the steam trains begin at Pickering and run up to Grosmont;during the summer, certain trains also run between Pickering and Whitby. Other things to do include Robin hoods bay, Staiths, a visit to Runswick bay, Whale watching from Whitby and a day trip to York. feel free to contact us for other places to visit.

The throws are for you to use during your stay so please bring with you any bedding your family dog may need.

We have also edited check in times and leaving times to give time between bookings for a good air of the cottage and deep clean by our lovely housekeeper to keep you safe..

This is not just any holiday cottage , this is a very special holiday cottage, everything has a meaning within and I adore it, I hope you do too.
