Frith Cottage is a 1 bedroomed, sleeping up to 3 people cottage in Belper's Conservation Area, in the heart of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. This lovely stone built cottage, overlooking a 13th Century chapel with views across this beautiful town and the stunning Derwent Valley is located on a quiet cobbled side street and is filled with vintage charm and character and a boutique feel. Whether you arrive by car, train or bus you're just minutes away from the town centre, making this one of the most accessible places to stay in the county we believe. Centrally heated, with a woodburning stove in the character fireplace, with lovely furnishings and quality fabrics and linens, Frith Cottage is the perfect, quaint romantic bolthole for couples. A private fenced sun-trap garden with a high patio that has an amazing Mary Poppins-like view of Belper and the surrounding countryside from the top. A built in barbeque completes the perfect getaway experience. A quality daybed is located in the converted attic room, creating a retreat within a retreat, somewhere to lose yourself whilst reading a good book on a rainy day.There is a Freesat and HDTV, DVD player and free WiFi. Belper is the beating heart of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, surrounded by stunning countryside, making a perfect playground for walkers and explorers. The majestic Peak District is just down the road and makes the county's crown jewels like Chatsworth House, easily accessible by car, bus or train. There is so much to explore!Belper itself is the Winner of Britain's Best High Street 2014, and famed for its local food offerings, restaurant's, and entertainment, like the award winning Ritz Cinema, where you can enjoy a glass of wine whilst reclining on a comfy sofa for two. When you've watched your movie you can saunter just across the road to Fresh Ground, have a coffee (or more wine) and delightful supper. You'll find everything you need in the cottage to make your stay perfect, and we pride ourselves on cleanliness, attention to detail and the personal touch.

Please note: The steps to the attic room are steep. We do not recommend you use them if you have mobility issues. Stairs to the first floor are fine however, and if you can manage your stairs at home then you should be fine. Frith Cottage is not recommended for children under 7.

Why can't I call Barry (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Barry (the owner) a message.

If Barry (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
