Gite du Midi is situated in the Hautes Pyrenees in the beautiful Campan valley. Located at the end of our 200 year old renovated farmhouse it offers accommodation for 2-4 people (the gite comfortably sleeps two adults and two children). The property sits in 1.5 acres and is surrounded by stunning scenery. The gite has its own private terrace , use of six person hot tub and the above ground timber clad swimming pool. We are only about 10 minutes drive from La Mongie , part of the largest ski area in the French Pyrenees and the cable car to the magnificent Pic du Midi Observatory. The area offers a wealth of summer and winter mountain activities – downhill and cross country skiing, cycling the famous Tour de France cols including Tourmalet and Aspin, spectacular walks, VTT, horse riding, fishing, paragliding, golfing, rock climbing and much more. We are two minutes drive from the village of Sainte Marie de Campan with its small but well stocked supermarket, two restaurants and bar. You will find many more cafes, restaurants and shops in the beautiful spa town of Bagneres de Bigorre which is just under 15 minutes drive away. Here you can also enjoy the thermal spa, casino and superb weekly market. If you're looking for an active holiday or just want to relax and unwind the Campan Valley is the perfect location.

Thank you for your review. We assume this in retaliation for the bad review we gave you with HomeAway. You didn't mention the gite was dirty or in need of renovation in your last review with HomeAway so I'm surprised to see your comment here. We have just received a five star certificate from Trip Advisor based on reviews from previous guests and have also earned Superhost status with Airbnb 7 times in a row which hopefully will show our future guests that our gite is not as you say. We are sorry that you felt cold in the gite. It was June and we had no heating on in our house. We responded immediately to all your requests including the heating and numerous others. We really did try to make your stay pleasant and always do try to ensure our guests have a lovely stay and our reviews before your stay and indeed after your stay clearly reflect this.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send JANE (the owner) a message.

If JANE (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
