Old England at its authentic best! 'Fair Haven' cottage dates back to 1837 and is in the very heart of Stratford upon Avon town. Shakespeare's birthplace is just 3 minutes walk away. You will go back in time as you enter this attractive abode with its timber beams and sash windows and be amazed as it opens up to airy and light areas with your own enclosed private garden. With a wide variety of cafes, restaurants, shops and Shakespearean places of interest just minutes walk away there is always plenty to do. Even the theatre and river are a 10 minute stroll, with the railway station a 5 minute walk away for those coming by train. There are a number of good rate car parks within a 2 minute walk from the cottage.

Once you arrive, the car is not really necessary, so if you are happy to you could park it on free street parking 20/25 minutes walk away.

A gem of a place - enjoy the hustle and bustle of Stratford activities on your doorstep then escape to 'Fair Haven' for some relaxation. Great also for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds with their idyllic villages plus a day to remember at Warwick Castle.

The cottage used to be a '2 up, 2 down' but has been extended downstairs to include kitchen, sun room and living room. Upstairs is 2 bedrooms with a Jack and Jill style bathroom.

There is a box on the bookshelf in the living room full of tourist leaflets/pamphlets and bus timetables.

Travel cot bed and high chair available on request.

Please note there is a wood burner in the living room but this is NOT a working fire and no attempt should be made to start a fire in it.

Why can't I call Rachel (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rachel (the owner) a message.

If Rachel (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
