Newly refurbished farmhouse with panoramic views of Knocklayde and Orra mountains. Situated at the foot of the Glens of Antrim, surrounded by arable farmland, wildlife-inhabited woodland, swan-filled lakes, Turnagrove Fishery and Lissanoure Estate.

The large and private garden to the front of the house offers a child-friendly lawn for lots of outdoor family activities.

Three bedrooms are located on the upper floor with access to the family bathroom. Bedroom 4 is downstairs next to the shower room & W.C. All have king sized beds.

The living room has a wood burning stove and wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen diner has a range cooker, dish washer, fridge, freezer and all equipment needed to cater for a large family or friends get together. Ajoining utility room has additional sink, storage, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The Pharis Smithy is a 45 minute drive from the Larne Ferry Ports, and Belfast Airports. Translink bus stop is 2 minute walk from the house, with links to railway stations and nearby towns.

Ideally located only 10 minutes drive from Ballycastle, leading to the abundance of tourist attractions along the 'Causeway Coast Scenic Route' such as The Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, Ballintoy harbour, White Park Bay, The White Rocks beach and Portstewart Strand with its car accessible sandy beaches. From Ballycastle you can take a boat trip to Rathlin Island or drive the coastal route south to Watertop Open Farm, Torr Head scenic route, Glenariff Forest Park, Carnfunnock Country Park and many tranquil seaside villages. Game of Thrones fans can drive down the Kings Road, known locally as The Dark Hedges (10 minute drive). Outdoor activities are available nearby such as pony trekking at Sheans Horse Farm (5 min drive), golf at Gracehill Golf Club and fishing at Turnagrove Fisheries.

    Booked for a 60th birthday weekend. House is fabulous in beautiful surroundings! Enjoyed by young and old. Definitely would recommend this house and will be making a return trip in the future.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    If Jayne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
