From the owner

A unique 2 bedroom luxury log cabin built in the traditional Norwegian “stavlaft” style characterised by massive timber frames, knotted timber walls, heavy roof beams and pillars with carvings, completed with a living roof.

The Cabin can accommodate up to 4 adults and 1 child. The master bedroom can be either set up with a twin bed or a double bed, whilst the other bedroom contains a double bed with a single bed above that can be folded away according to need.

The spacious open plan living area has an airy feel due to its double height where the massive structural timbers are fully exposed in the ceiling, and contains a dining table, sofas and a modern log burning stove. The fully-equipped kitchen is in an alcove off the living room. EPC rating B.

The Cabin is newly built and contains all the modern comforts you would expect from a Scandinavian holiday home including under floor heating and a cosy log fire. The south facing living room extends into a covered terrace perfect for observing the local wildlife. The fenced off garden is a private sanctuary underneath ancient oak trees.

The Cabin is situated on our working small holding. We have free range poultry, pigs and sheep, and we hope you will enjoy having a look around and interacting with our animals.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Fia (the owner) a message.

If Fia (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
