This delightful Shepherds Hut is located on our small holding at Meadowbeck Holiday Cottages and enjoys wonderful sea and countryside views. Set in a peaceful location within the North Yorkshire Moors, yet within easy reach of Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Sandsend, Ravenscar and Scarborough. Beautiful coastal and moorland walks on the doorstep, along with fabulous dark skies for star gazing.

The Shepherds Hut provides a comfortable retreat for 2 and is ideally located for exploring the coast and inland villages. The hut is clad in Larch and fully insulated - the interior is countryside chic and provides an inviting double bed to snuggle in and a log burning stove for cozy nights in. The Hut has electricity, hot/cold water and is fully equipped with a flat screen TV, Belfast Sink, 2 ring Mini Stove with electric grill, Mini fridge, Fold away dining table and 2 comfortable chairs.

Outside: Private toilet and Shower Facility attached to the rear of the Shepherds Hut (please note this is accessed outside of the hut). There is also a private fenced garden area.

Just 10 metres walk from the hut is a guest games room with Pool Table, Bar Football, Darts Board, Flat screen TV, Free WiFi and comfortable seating for relaxing. Within the utility area is a microwave, washing machine, ironing board and iron.

For anyone wishing to experience staying in a Shepherds Hut with all mod cons - this is a real treat and can be a new adventure, romantic getaway, peaceful retreat or anything you want it to be.

Dogs - Strictly by prior arrangement with the Owners - Dogs will be considered on request and an additional fee is payable.

Guests should be aware that the hut has a log burning stove for heating, in a confined area (should you wish to use it). Please note - IT IS NOT SUITABLE ACCOMMODATION FOR YOUNG CHILDREN and whilst we do not exclude children, we advise a minimum age of 11 and it is the guests decision and responsibility when booking the accommodation.

The double bed will have a clean mattress protector but no bedding. Guests are requested to bring along their own bedding & towels. If you are unable to bring along your own bedding, please advise on booking & we can provide for an additional cost - which can be paid cash on arrival.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lisa (the owner) a message.

If Lisa (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
