Our smallest cottage continues to win approval from many returning guests. It works equally well as a cozy 1 bedroom cottage or bring the Roost into play and two children (aged 6-13) can enjoy their own private bedroom den!

Trehill is an idyllic lakeside holiday cottage complex in Callington, SE Cornwall.

The Trehill estate features a stunning hilltop location in the heart of the Tamar Valley with free on-site fishing & great leisure facilities!

When you arrive at Trehill cottages, you know you have arrived at a special place. Gorgeous converted farm buildings, 4 sunny acres of beautiful grounds & a plateau location with views far afield over the Cornish countryside.

Facilities - Trehill has 4 acres of grounds with outdoor pool (summer only), fishing & much more.

The Trehill estate combines two small & separate cottage groups. Trehill cottages, 4 traditional stone farm buildings & Long Barn cottages (3 sleek & modern cottages with their own private indoor pool, hot tub & gym)

China Fleet club - Just a few miles away. It boasts superb leisure facilities as well as a championship golf course. Represents a great wet weather option. Entry costs from £6.50(child £4.50) for the pool complex.

Living...

Small but delightfully formed, Owls Roost is perfect for couples or those with young famillies.

The cosy lounge features comfortable leather settees, wood burning stove LCD colour TV and DVD. There is also a dining area with seating for 4.

The large windows look directly onto the lake. The superb solid maple floors reflect the flames from the wood burning stove.

The kitchen area has a stainless steel cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Sleeping...

The main double bedroom with king size bed has direct views over the lake and a completely new en-suite shower-room with tiled floors & walls and underfloor heating.

The upstairs "roost" is accessed via loft stairs (suitable only for children 6 to 13 due to its height restrictions) and is incredibly popular , but if not required is unobtrusive.

Outside...

Owls Roost has a large patio with barbecue, picnic table and garden chairs. Facing South west it gets sun for most of the day, and has glorious views over the lake and the valley beyond. The outdoor hot tub (extra charge required) has lovely lake views.

The main fishing lake is just seconds away for those who enjoy angling.

Owls Roost is NOT suitable for 4 adults.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Holiday Cottages (the owner) a message.

If Holiday Cottages (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
