Le Gite Tranquille is set in the pretty hamlet of La Jousseliniere, near to La Chapelle-Themer and Thiré in the Vendée, surrounded by fields and orchards. It is an ideal location for country walks or cycling through quiet lanes.

The house has an open plan ground floor, with 2 large sofas, a dining table & chairs and a fully equipped kitchen, with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and kettle. There is a fridge/freezer and washing machine in the utility room, along with a WC and hand basin.

Upstairs, there are two comfortable bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room, and the other has two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. Both have a wardrobe and side tables. A cot can be added to the twin bedroom.

Outside there is a patio area with comfy chairs, and a table - ideal for an aperitif after a hectic day of sightseeing or sunbathing in the private garden area. There is also a BBQ, al fresco dining table & chairs and sunloungers.

The private garden is surrounded by the main gardens which belong to property owners, who live next door and who are always on hand to offer advice about where to visit. These gardens contain a fantastic fruit & vegetable area, along with a large orchard of cherry and walnut trees. There is plenty of space for the children to run around or play football - as well as table tennis and a set of swings.

The area is great for walking and cycling - with miles of country lanes to explore. Within 30 minutes drive are several tourist attractions - including the Marais Poitevin wetland canal area - with waterways and ruined abbeys to discover.

The beaches are less than an hour away and the picturesque old port of La Rochelle and the Il de Re make a good day out.

The Fantastic Puy du Fou theme park is only 40 minutes away and here you will be transported back in time to the Age of the Gladiators, Vikings, Medieval Knights and Musketeers - not forgetting the Spectacular Evening show with over a 1000 actors and animals. A must see!
