Lounge Holidays are thrilled to offer ‘Sea Scape Apartment’ in Aberdovey a really special contemporary style holiday apartment, which enjoys spectacular views of the Dovey Estuary. Spacious and modern, with two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, sitting room & shower-room. The apartment has been renovated & decorated with new furniture, fittings and designer bedding. From the sunny sitting room, you can watch the tides roll in and with the beach just a short walk you could be soaking up the sun all day, then enjoying the spectacular sunset over Cardigan Bay. For those cooler times of year there is fixed heating, double glazing and of course FREE WIFI.

The apartment is also pet & smoke FREE, so great for guests with allergies.

There is no designated parking, but is 1 parking pass for the main town car park 200m away.

Surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park, this lovely apartment is ideally situated for whatever type of holiday you want, if you're into cycling or horse-riding there are numerous scenic places to ride and the internationally-famous mountain-biking centre at Coed y Brenin just 40 minutes away. This is a walker’s paradise with the Mawddach Trail and the Wales Coast Path nearby. For those seeking a little more challenge Cader Idris can be reached in less than an ½ hour. If you're not the active type, then how about a ride on the famous Talyllyn narrow-gauge steam railway in Tywyn.

ACCOMODATION:

Entrance and outside space.

Entering from the rear of the building up the metal fire escape the apartment is on the second floor. Not suitable for guests with mobility issues. There is a level area half way up with a bistro table & chairs, that enjoys lovey views of the hills behind.

Living room.

The main sitting room enjoys fabulous views over the village & the Estuary. With carpet flooring, feature fireplace, 2 X 2 seater cosy sofas and a foot stool. Also books games etc. An ‘LG’ 24” flat-screen TV with Freeview, PS2 & games plus a DVD. Electric heater.

Dining room.

A real wood floor in the separate dining room with a lovely oak table with 6 hi-back chairs, plus a side board with IPOD doc. Electric heater.

Kitchen.

A smart separate kitchen next to the dining room has a breakfast bar and features slate flooring. It has newly fitted ‘oak effect’ kitchen units with slate-look worktops and half tiles walls. A built in oven, electric ceramic hob & extractor hood over, washer/dryer, microwave and, fridge/freezer box. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would expect in a well presented holiday home.

Family Shower room.

Walk in glass door shower cubicle, vanity unit hand basin, toilet, full floor & wall tiling, heated towel rail and back lit mirror.

Bedroom ONE - sleeps 2

With fabulous views, double-size ‘leather style’ bed, built in wardrobe with shelves, 3 drawer dressing table, 2 bedside tables. Bush TV, electric heater. Both the bedrooms are carpeted.

Bedroom TWO on the 2nd floor- sleeps 2

With adult size single beds, hanging space, 6 drawer chest of drawers, 2 X Velux windows with village and estuary views. 12” TV, electric heater. NB: This is an attic room, so head high is restricted, but it’s a spacious room.

Short breaks when available out of the main school holidays: Monday- Friday 4 nights & Friday-Monday 3 nights. Arrivals from 4.00 pm vacate by 10.00 am. A minimum charge of £250 applies to every booking.

We request a 25% deposit on booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before the arrival date. We also ask for a £150 security deposit, which is refundable providing there are no breakages or damage to the property.

We accept payment by BACS bank transfer no charge. Card payments VIA PAYPAL (1.8% fee applies) or by cheque. A £29.95 booking fee applies to each booking.

The North Wales region

Right in The Snowdonia National Park, Aberdovey is ideally situated for whatever type of holiday you are looking for. Whatever you are into: fishing, surfing, kite boarding, sailing, mountain biking, bird watching, painting, landscape photography or horse riding, there are endless scenic places to explore. This region of Wales is without doubt a 'hidden gem' with some of the most spectacular scenery in Britain. This is a walker's paradise with Cader Idris just a few minutes drive away! The picturesque harbour village of Aberdovey, with a sailing club & the famous Aberdovey Golf Course has several good restaurants & pubs. For watersport enthusiasts and families, there are uncrowded, sandy beaches for miles between Aberdovey to Tywyn.

Aberdyfi (Aberdovey)

Aberdovey is a well-known wind surfing & sailing centre. Jet skiers are welcome Fishing trips can be arranged in Aberdovey all year round. This area is full of history dating back to pre-historic times. Just get slightly off the beaten track on the dozens of public footpaths and you will come across standing stones, stone circles, abandoned farmhouses, castles & ancient churches. Places within a just few miles

Tywyn has a sunny west-facing 'Blue Flag' sandy beach. Don't miss the spectacular sunsets over the bay. From early Spring through till Autumn, dolphins and porpoise can be spotted close to the shore, an amazing sight to see! Its not unusual to see them on a daily basis in pods of up to 20. Tywyn is possibly the only place on the West Coast where you can park for FREE virtually right on the beach. There is level access to the town where there are supermarkets, shops, bistros (you must try' Salt Marsh Kitchen' opposite the market hall) cafes, banks, a post office, cinema, health centre, cottage hospital, several churches, leisure centre and an indoor swimming pool.

Tywyn's renowned 'Magic Lantern' cinema & arts venue is just around the corner. The main line train station is only 5 mins away as well as the world famous Tal-y-llyn Railway ( the world’s 1st preserved railway).

St Cadvans Church in Tywyn dates back 1500 years, with the ‘Cadvan Stones’ which are apparently the oldest known inscriptions of the Welsh language. And the recently rediscover 8c ‘sun dial stone’

NOT TO BE MISSED: Dolgoch Falls, spectacular waterfalls and woodland walk, look out for fairies and witches!Cregennan Lake near Arthog, stunning location, with views of the Mawddach Estuary.The Barmouth Bridge, built by Brunel. You must walk over it and enjoy the Mawddach, then explore Barmouth, with excellent beaches and the harbour. There are good shops, numerous coffee shops & pubs. The Last Inn & Davey Jones Locker are particularly good. Cader Idris & Llyn Cau, most walkers agree is more scenic than Snowdon.The Bearded Lake above Aberdovey, mystical place of legends, with amazing view of the Dovey Estuary.The Dysynni River & reed beds. A wild life haven for, geese, ducks and herons. Fishing with a permit.Bird Rock. 500 years ago the sea came up to the rock, but the Cormorant still breed here. Also, look out for the ruined Iron Age fort near the top of the rock.Tal-y-llyn Lake, just beautiful!With all this and so much more, you can make a holiday to suit yourself.
