IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are not allowed to discuss prices, special offers, discounts, etc directly with clients - Hollidaylettings will censor all such communications. Pay via Holidaylettings then once the booking is confirmed we may discuss refunds for special discounts for long stays for example. You can also pay for 12 nights but we allow you to stay 14 nights if there are vacancies. We are flexible even if the website is not...Any problems with booking payment pls contact Holidaylettings directly. ALSO: the calendar managed by TripAdvisor is not working as it should so that it often states "not available" on your chosen dates when in fact that is not the case. We strongly advise you to try and contact us directly.

The bungalow is located in a garden with a large lawn area and a 10m X 5m pool.

It is a vey secluded garden neighboring an agricultural field and facing the sea.

The beach is 2km away. The property is situated in a very narrow country lane so large cars do not fit which means that it is an almost private road with practically no traffic. and so we breath very clean air.

This is ideal for those who enjoy quiet holidays and seeing the many historical towns and villages in northern Portugal, including nearby Viana do Castelo. Very near Galicia northern Spain as well. As a border location you get "two countries for one".

Afife has two restaurants and three cafés, a Mini-Price supermarket, a pharmacy open daily from 9:00am to 12:00 midnight . There is also a river beach. The ocean beach is very long and there is an area for surfers. In summer one can get surfing lessons. In nearby Caminha 10 kms north, there is Kayaking both in the bay and in the river as well as regular ferry crossings to Spain.

With booking confirmation we require a 20% of total amount payable. We also ask for a "security deposit" on arrival of Euro-100 payable on arrival in cash which we refund at end of stay.

The bedroom has two twin beds. The living area has a sofa-bed for a third person (three people only for short stays: 3/4 days) or a child aged 10 - 16.
The bathroom has a large shower area with hot and cold water, WC, large modern wash basin.
The bungalows have heating in winter .
Unfortunately no TV this year but we can provide a DVD player and you can borrow from our good DVD collection. We provide clean linen on a weekly basis. When possible we can try to get someone to clean the bungalow or change the beds 1x week.
The kitchenette has two cooking hot plates, microwave, fridge/freezer, electric kettle, coffee machine, toaster, linen, etc.
You can borrow our beach towels and beach umbrellas.
Short stays in July and August - 4 nights -rest of the year 3 nights.
Long stays (over 14 nights) prices negotiable but not through any Holidaylettings messages as they censor all discussion on payments and prices, etc.
Pets: please ask as it is not always possible for us to allow pets. And we cannot allow most pets in July and August anyway.
Swimming pool not suitable for young children.

Further details outdoors

The bungalow has its own set of outdoor furniture for meals &;al fresco and a terrace area. The pool and garden are shared but the large lawn area provides for a spacious outdoor. There is a barbecue and a barbecue support room for chilly evenings or to be used as a common room when guests get along. We provide safe parking for two small cars. Larger cars will have to be parked in street nearby. Kindly ask us about any other relevant information. And keep in mind that the more we know about your and your needs the better we can try and give a positive response. Good communication is always the KEY.

This is a place for those wanting a quiet tranquil place to stay for a few days. It is not suitable for children as the pool is not safe and the bungalows not suitable for any type of overcrowding. We expect guests to realise that self-catering means they have to take care of basic day-to-day cleaning and tidying of their bungalow. We do not allow parties nor sleeping-in guests other than our own guests. Our guests can invite two or three friends for a meal.

Why can't I call ALDA (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send ALDA (the owner) a message.

If ALDA (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
