Ground Floor:
The entrance takes you to ground level, where you will find two bedrooms with 2 single beds each, one bathroom and the impressive, indoor-outdoor pool. The pool starts from this level, passes through the house, and ends outdoors. Those residing on this level can literally walk out their bedroom door and step directly into the pool. One of two bedrooms can comfortably accommodate elderly or disabled people – the bathroom is especially designed for such cases.
Lower Level:
Descending the stairs to the lower level, you will find two more bedrooms with double beds and en-suite bathrooms. All beds have cocomat mattresses and individual, wood-floored patios with wonderful views. The four bedrooms can accommodate up to 8 people. Heading to the upper level, you will ascend a majestic staircase constructed of iron and wood, complete with a moving-ramp for disabled access, located to one side.
Upper Floor:
On the upper floor is a spacious, modern kitchen and dining table, built from floor to ceiling with Swedish wood, truly a sight for kitchen lovers. The kitchen is fully equipped, offering anything you may need, including a wine preserver. On the same level, there is a cozy, richly decorated sitting room, with a deluxe mattress sofa-bed which can accommodate two more guests. In the same room, there is a big desk, which has the capability of turning into a closet, for times when the room is used as a bedroom.
Outdoor:
The pool is accompanied by a stone path, which starts from the main entrance at the back of the house and ends poolside at the front, overlooking the White Mountains to the left and Souda Bay to the right. The wooden deck which looks down on the pool from one level up offers an even more spectacular vantage of sea, olive groves and mountains, a trademark combination of Cretan topography.
Location:
Villa Camin is located in the village of Agioi Pantes in Apokoronas. The spot is idyllic, located up on a hill for a great view and full privacy. It provides majestic, panoramic views of the Bay of Souda to the North and the White Mountains to the South. Looking west, one can have a taste of the Cretan countryside and its picturesque villages in Apokoronas. Since there is no one else in the immediate circumference, the view is truly yours!
Kalyves village, 5km away, is an agricultural market centre by the seaside with plenty restaurants, coffee places and souvenir shops. The beach, extending for 300 m, just before the entrance of the village is of golden sand with green-blue waters. Stroll down the beautiful narrow village lanes that lead to the central square of the village with the large plane tree. In Kalyves you can find a large supermarket, car rental companies, butchers and bakeries, many dining choices and a bank.
Chania, the capitol of West Crete, is only 30 minutes drive and has a beautiful Venetian Harbour with a fascinating history. Wander through the many narrow lanes filled with Venetian, Turkish and Byzantine style buildings. You can also find all the facilities and amenities that you would expect of a modern city with fine restaurants, bars, clubs, live music, traditional harbour side tavernas and fashionable shops.
Indeed, there is so much to explore and experience. You can hire a car or bicycle or even take a boat ride along the coast. Some of the best scenery can be seen on foot. There are many walks ortreks along mountain paths and gorges including the world famous Samaria Gorge. Other activity pursuits include horse riding, tennis, golf, go-karting and climbing. Most water sports are available including, diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing, fishing, jet skiing and water-skiing.
