Other facilities include free wi-fi, flat screen LCV TV, washing machine / dryer, dish washer, microwave iron, linen, etc.)
Further, operating according to the principles of bioclimatic architecture with tall trees that protect from weather and improve the microclimate of the region, has installed photovoltaic total power system 10KWp, heating with wood boiler fueled by biomass of the area, solar system water heaters and composting system used for fertilizing plants and trees.
Akrotiri is the peninsula located north east of Chania. It is a key node of ferry boards and air tourist transport since here are Souda port and airport (six kilometers) and is just seven kilometers from the old Venetian port and the city of Chania.
Important monuments of cultural, historical and religious heritage in the area are worth visiting with some of the most amazing trekking / walking paths. Some examples are the tombs of the Venizelos, the Agia Triada Monastery, Monastery Gouverneto (particular architecture combining Venetian elements with those of Byzantine and basilica), the cavernous church St. George Apidioti and the oldest monastery in Crete, with cloisters like those of Meteora, Catholic. In the region there are about fifteen caves with stone decoration of stalactites and stalagmites which are all open to visitors including the Arkalospilios the Achairospilio and the Cave of St. John in Agiofarago and Arkoudospilios next to the monastery Koumarospilio. Furthermore it is possible to tour the majestic canyons like Porofarago, Agiofarago, St. Anthony and screed, Kalathas and Poros black.
Within walking distance are the picturesque sandy blue flag beaches including stand Kalathas, Agios Onoufriou, Tersanas of Machairida, Stavros, Marathi and Seitan Limania. In Marathi there is also the archaeological site of the "Small palace of Minos."
