This fully furnished all-season executive 1000 sq-ft private suite captures the heart and soul of Muskoka! The open concept living room features a traditional stone fireplace c/w 12' post and beams logs that revive the era of an early pioneer homestead. The open concept dining/living/and bedroom all face the west to what our guests refer to as the 'Million Dollar Sunset '

Each booking comes complete with an Algonquin Pass which also gains free access to the famous Arrowhead Park Trails located just 16 minutes away!! Even closer, is Limberlost Forest Trails, Hidden Valley and Deerhurst all just 7 to 8 minutes away!

The fully stocked kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities such as microwave, refrigerator, and even features a cooking island! NEW: We now provide a Keurig Coffee machine c/w wide array of coffee and teas to enjoy :)

For quieter moments Blue Heron includes a variety of board games, a wide selection of reading material, or enjoy watching Netfix and Amazon Prime on our 58" flat screen ROKU TV, or streaming your favourite music on our blue-ray soundbar :)

Blue Heron amenities include a romantic wood burning fireplace and complimentary canoe from Spring to Fall and 2 pairs of high tech snowshoes during the snowy season. We are conveniently located on year-round serviced roadways. Our flat level driveway has lots of parking space - NO hills to negotiate! Bring your pet free!

We converted a large four bedroom log cottage into a fully self contained independent 1000sqft private vacation apartment suite! As empty-nesters who quietly reside in the upper level, we offer a wide array of concierges services as you can see from all our five star reviews! Our guests enjoy full privacy throughout the grounds including private beach, tree-house, fire-pit, etc. Other than an optional brief orientation at arrival you will not see anyone unless you specifically request assistance. As you can see from all our wonderful feedback, we are just a text or phone call away from tips on what to see and do in the area. We offer the option of a self check in/check-out and provide personal electronic lock access to entrance, especially convenient for those arriving late at night. We leave out a welcome binder for easy reference on the cottage and activities in the area.

Whether you are 'stay-cationing' with a young family or exploring the wide array of activities Muskoka has to offer, you are sure to return home with lots of fun filled memories!

We are conveniently located just 15 minutes from the historical town of Huntsville, and 30 minutes from the gateway of world renown Algonquin Park.

We provide freshly laundered kitchen linens, blankets, pillows, and comforters. Guests would only need to bring their own queen sheet sets. For international guests, or upon request, we can provide complimentary sheets, just let us know ahead of time : ) In addition, we provide a starter supply of firewood/kindling for both the fireplace and fire-pit and propane for the BBQ. Our starter supply lasts for a two night stay - for those that stay longer, we provide firewood on site at a nominal price ;)

For those that need to keep connected , you would have full access to WiFi internet. Blue Heron is a naturalist delight - explore a waterfall in Algonquin Park, track a deer print, visit a historical sites, or simply 'Kick Back' and enjoy the natural beauty of a sunset overlooking serene Walker Lake in quintessential Muskoka chairs!

Throughout your stay you can choose from so much of what Muskoka has to offer. We are close enough to all the attractions such as golfing, skiing, restaurants, and yet far removed from the hustle and bustle of modern day living!

It’s perfect for both the young and old alike; whether you are travelling on business, vacationing, or escaping for a romantic getaway, the extra spacious setting accommodates everyone!

How do damage deposits work?

If Susan or Dennis (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
