Our houseboat 'Ayana's' is elegantly designed to cater for your every comfort. Interiors are completely made out of Teak and acacia wood, all furniture are antique style and in wood. A spacious and tastefully furnished air-conditioned double bedroom with twin or King size bed and picture windows overlooking the lake, beautifully carved lotus flowers on the wooden ceiling, a writing table and chair, a wardrobe and luggage storage and a large mirror in the dressing area are but a few of the main features. Attached western toilet is truly state of art with the most modern and best available equipment including wall to wall tiles and wooden ceiling, rain shower and hand held shower with running hot & cold water. The large living area is comfortably furnished with antique chairs and teapoy. You will be able to lounge back, read and relax on the front sundeck and enjoy the view out of the picture windows from the air-conditioned dining room furnished with antique chairs and table! LED bulbs and antique style lamp shades create a romantic atmosphere in each area of 'Ayana's'.

Hi Alison! First of all thank you for booking with us. And the nice review you wrote on our feedback form (please see the same in the last part). Reading this review I thought to explain few things from my part for the other travellers who read this. Initially your booking and you paid for Deluxe houseboat for 2 nights. But to make our guest happy and more enjoyable we may upgrade the boat with no extra charge according to the availability. Thus we provide you a Luxury two bedroom boat exclusively for you for the same cost. You have seen extremely happy seeing (my offer) your boat. All the boat cruise from 12 noon till 5.30 PM with a lunch break. After that with the Inland waterways and other authorities it not allowed to cruise. The first night halt parking place is far away from the other crowded boats. But you may see a bridge and vehicles passing at a distance. It was too late you informed me to sail the boat to another place for parking. That means you were not halted the boat at 5 PM. We stop the boat in between 5.30 to 6 PM. The second night parking area is in a village amidst the rice fields but of course there will have some other boats also parked. Usually Indians take the houseboat to enjoy in their style and they might have played music and dance. We cannot object that as they have paid for their boat and it is not our boat. Then the route repeated because you were asked them to take the fish market and two trips to the same place will turn 4 times sailing the same route. I assume your points are just because of your fairy imagination. We provide the same routes, parking area for all our trips except changes in the boat category. And most of them enjoy it and for few they search in detail to post in review sites. Let me write here the exact review you wrote in our Feedback form at the end of your cruise. I wish to post a scanned image of the feedback form but I think it is not allowed here. I would be very glad to accept your complaints and to change it for the future but I don't see anything to accept from you to change. I don't think it is fair enjoying the service completely and later complaining with searched and found matters. Just cherish the nice moments cruising with us instead of searching for matters that worries you. I think your review will mislead at least some of the travellers who really want to enjoy the houseboat. We are not the best but we strive our best to deliver our guests the best... Hi Gian! First of all thanks for accepting the last minute change in the boat. Thanks for your feedback with positive and negatives. I am glad you mentioned both part. As you can see the review (Ms. Stacey) just before you, they were also booked for the 1st April 2016. As Ayana engine had problem during that time we had to give other boats for bookings for that week. However we confirmed the boat with all clients and got approval or they chosen the best available option. Of course people would make a comparison with Ayana and it will not find as same as Ayana. I completely admit with your negative comments. But to make you understand I will explain you few things. All our boats renovate seasonally. It was time for this boat for maintenance and we fixed it just after Ayana get ready. You have mentioned the crew English was not very good. They are local people from this area and not professionally educated as a hotel staff. Regarding the 2nd night halting point, I explained you in person that we cannot park the boat far from Alleppey as the next morning you will have short time to reach Alleppey terminal. As you did 2 nights cruise, for the first night you had time to go far from the crowd and halt at a quite place. There are hundreds of boat plying in the backwaters and its difficult to avoid all other boats and cruise alone even though it is possible for longer cruises. Also I informed you before the cruise starts that anything you buy from outside the boat will be at your own decision and risk and thereafter we will not accept any complaints. Now you even wrote is here that one could think that it is our fault. Same time it could be a warning for other travellers. Thanks for your positive comments and we accept the negative points and will take care of it for the next trips. Thank you for booking with us... Thanks, Hashim

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Hashim (the owner) a message.

If Hashim (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
