Exuberant living in a luxury mountain home, having panoramic views of snow capped Himalayan peaks of Trisul, Nandadevi and Panchchuli. Located over a landscaped green hill in a village hamlet called Shaharfatak, a peaceful personal retreat and a splendid escape near Mukteshwar, at just 7.5 hours drive from Delhi, 1.5-2 hours drive from Nainital/Bhimta/Kathgodam. Many famous hill stations like Binsar, Ramgarh, Kausani, Jageshwar, Kasardevi, Bhageshwar, and Almora are located within 20-50 kms.

The space

A beautiful luxury mountain Chalet having 200 degree panoramic view of a gorgeous forest covered valley, and the mighty Himalayan peaks (best views between September to February).

Property Layout

* The Chalet comprises of 3 exquisite large bedrooms / suites, each of them aesthetically decorated to bring alive the colors of the mountain bloom - White, Blue, and Pink.

* Each bedroom has an en-suite / attached bathroom

* A large Living room, with 2 comfortable sitting corners to house 6-8 people each (one corner having a fireplace, and the other corner fitted with a large 42" LED TV for family viewing

* A dining area with a 6 seating dining table

* A Large balcony deck overlooking the gorgeous valley

* A fully equipped kitchen

* Lawns / outdoor areas

Amenities:

* An LED TV has been provided in the Living Room for family viewing

* Kitchen has most required utensils, appliances like R/O water purifier, microwave, refrigerator, gas stove, air fryer, etc, and necessary cutlery and crockery

* All bathrooms have storage water heaters for hot water supply

* Fans / air-conditioning not required

* Heaters / heat convectors in all rooms and bathrooms for usage in winter

* Electric Blankets in all rooms

* Power back up is through UPS system, which will power the lights, however heavy electronics like kitchen equipment, geysers / water heaters, room heaters, electric iron, and hair dryers cannot be used on power back up in case of a power outage

* Fresh clean Linen is provided at every check in. Linen / Towel change is provided every 4th day (if booking is longer than a week). This is to conserve water - huge scarcity in the mountains

* Housekeeping / Cleaning is provided daily

Meals & Dining: Restaurant Dining options are not available in this area. Village meals can be savored in Shaharfatak village. However a great dining spot is at boutique hotel Te Aroha located 30 mins away at Dhanachuli (recommended for lunch), or cafe's at Mukteshwar (45 mins away).

Cooking by caretakers - Our caretakers can help with cooking meals / breakfast. A small fee of Rs. 800 per day is payable to them for their cooking services. Groceries are to be provided by the guests as per choice (please do not ask our caretakers to go get groceries for you as the closest markets are 4 Kms away, and they will need to walk on foot to get them - you can however take them with you / send them with your driver).

Please note - This is a private home, and not a hotel. Please do not expect hotel kind of services at the property. We focus on cleanliness, good quality well maintained linen, and homely comfort for our guests.We do not have wifi at this property.

Our guests are most welcome to enjoy all areas and facilities of the property. The Sun Deck is the most amazing experience of the Chalet. We can organize an open air bonfire or barbecue grill at an extra cost of Rs. 1,500 for each time use of the bonfire / barbecue grill. Our property is managed by Hostie - an operations management company for boutique travel homes in India. Our property coordinator - Prem and our care taker - Chandan, ensure our guest's have a comfortable and memorable stay.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Akshay (the owner) a message.

If Akshay (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
