A Quinta D'Avó Amélia é um espaço rural, de finais do século XIX, situado a uns escassos 14 km de Aveiro e apenas a 5km do cruzamento das autoestradas A1 e A25. Localiza-se num espaço rural sossegado, no lugar de Beduido, Alquerubim.
Foi, ao longo de várias gerações, residência dos seus proprietários e uma casa de família onde todos os que chegavam eram recebidos com carinho e hospitalidade. Mantendo estes valores, a nossa propriedade é, acima de tudo, a «nossa» casa, a casa onde vivemos momentos da nossa infância, a morada dos nossos pais e avós, mas também a casa de todos aqueles que nos queiram visitar. O seu encanto está na diversidade de espaços, na preservação do mobiliário, na integração com a Natureza, na diversidade das árvores que salpicam o relvado, nas flores, no chilrear dos pássaros…
A remodelação desta casa foi feita cuidadosamente de forma a manter a identidade própria de uma casa de campo, integrando sempre o mobiliário e utensílios de outras épocas, pontuada aqui e ali por pinturas de artistas atuais, adaptando-a aos novos padrões de conforto. A calçada portuguesa, tão típica do nosso país, não foi esquecida no seu pátio interior onde convive com um jardim repleto de flores. É um local aprazível e seguro também para crianças. O antigo tanque, bordejado de árvores, integrado num ambiente relaxante, foi também transformado em piscina de forma a permitir que as pessoas se possam refrescar nos dias mais quentes e as crianças possam desenvolver as suas brincadeiras. O antigo lagar integrado na adega, faz parte agora de um espaço de convívio.
As preocupações ambientais e ecológicas também fazem parte dos nossos valores. O equilíbrio do nosso pequeno ecossistema é uma das nossas preocupações. As energias renováveis são a origem do aquecimento das águas sanitárias e do aquecimento central. As bicicletas estão disponíveis para quem queira pedalar e assim conhecer alguns dos locais mais aprazíveis em torno do nosso espaço e da Ria de Aveiro.
Quinta D ' Avó Amelia – Casa do Forno is a farmhouse of the end of the 19th century, situated about 14 km from Aveiro and just 5 km from the intersection of the highways A1 and A25. It is located in a quiet rural area, in place of Beduido, Alquerubim.
It was, over several generations, home of its owners and where everyone who arrived was welcomed with warm and hospitality. Keeping these values, our property is, above all, the 'our' Home, but also the Home of our visitors. The charm of this small house, the old house of the oven, place where it was made and backed the bread to the family, is in the diversity of spaces, the preservation of furniture, on integrating with nature, the diversity of trees of the lawn, the flowers, the birdsongs…
The renovation of this House was made carefully in order to maintain the identity of a country house, always integrating furniture and utensils of other times, mixed here and there, by paintings of Portuguese fine arts artists. This work was as objective to adapt this home to the new standards of comfort. The Portuguese pavement, so typical of our country, it has not been forgotten in the patio where coexists with a flower-filled garden. It is a pleasant and safe place also for children. The old tank bordered of trees, integrated in a relaxing lawn, was also recovered into a pool in order to allow people to keep cool in warmer weather and children can develop their games. The old mill in the cellar, is part of a convivial space now. Environmental and ecological concerns are also part of our values. The balance of our small ecosystem is one of our concerns. Renewable energies are the source of the water heating sanitary and central heating. Bikes are available for those who want to ride and visit the most pleasant places around our space and the Ria de Aveiro.
