From the owner

One of the largest stone built terraced cottages and closest to the beach, in the fishing port of Amble by the Sea, with a lovely sunny rear terrace and kitchen. The two living rooms are warm and cosy, whilst the bedrooms with original fireplaces are light and cheerful with John Lewis, Laura Ashley and White Company bedding and curtains. There is free unlimited BT Broadband available. and the cottage is on the Northumberland cycle route, and accesses some wonderful coastal and country walks with its location a mile from Warkworth. Safe off-road parking at the rear. There are all the shops you could need, an award winning fish and chip shop, numerous restaurants and an Italian ice cream parlour within a ten minute walk, and on the way you can watch the fisherman land their catch, take in the view of Warkworth Castle and the river Coquet and see the yachts in the marina. We will accept ONE dog with its own bed, at a cost of £10.

The third single bedroom is only suitable for a child or close family member, as though it is quite large, it gives onto the bathroom. The house is very spacious, much more so than photographing each individual room can reveal. It is also light and warm, and suitable for all times of the year, as of course if the beautiful Northumberland countryside.

I live near York, but this is also our own holiday home, so it is equipped over and above the usual holiday rental, we have comfortable beds, good quality furnishings, and the kitchen has none of that four of this and five of that nonsense, it is full of good white bistro china, long-stemmed glasses, cast iron casseroles, food processor, hand mixer, cake tins, in fact everything you would want if you lived there. We have an excellent property manager in Acklington, she will keep the house in good order, and can handle queries. We, of course are always available by phone or email, and we will send you lots of information on places to eat out, dog friendly or not.

BOOKINGS are from Saturday to Saturday and are ONE full week, except at the lowest winter price when we take 4 days within two Saturdays NOT over a weekend.
We take ONE dog only at a cost of £10, the dog must NOT be allowed on the furniture or beds, with due respect to guests who follow you.
CANCELLATIONS - we could only choose from options, but we will return all monies including deposits, should you cancel and the property re-books.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. Water pressure we can't do much about, though have changed the taps to low pressure ones. I honestly thought we had cracked it on the comfort front, with carpets, good curtains, bedding, sofas, avoiding the easy clean, hard surfaces. Our reviews have all been five star on other sites. Given we are not in a very high rental area, and we also keep our prices down, I had hoped we could keep that rating

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sandra (the owner) a message.

If Sandra (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
