“Wonderful Week”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2019

Beautiful apartment in beautiful house on beautiful street! Well thought out and equipped (though perhaps couple more bowls for salad/vegetables might be good), plenty of storage space, exceedingy comfortable beds and linen, and best of all watching the boats glide by on the canal after busy day out! Perfect situation for exploring all the most historic canals and easy to get to the museums (walk if energetic, tram from station (7 minute walk) if not! Great bakery in parallel street, Organic supermarket five minute walk and two street markets even nearer (food/flowers/clothes/collectibles). Lots of eateries and bars very nearby though we self-catered most of the time as really loved people/boat watching - incredibly relaxing especially as most of the boats are electric so silent. Maarten very helpful, welcoming in person and hamper, lots of guide books and maps. Apart from the main art museums National Maritime Museum fascinating with great shop for interesting and classy presents and the Hortus Botanicus a delight. We had extremely happy week here and I would love to return.
