Description

This luxurious and spacious property is located in a quiet residential street a short walk from the Medina. The roof terrace offers spectacular panoramic views of the town, is sun drenched all day and faces the beach and the Medina. The private terrace has a shaded pergola which is perfect for al fresco breakfast or dining on the warm Moroccan evenings, and plenty of sun loungers for soaking up the Moroccan sunshine on a beautiful day! The house offers a comfortable mix of modern facilities with traditional interior decoration while offering peace and privacy and is perfect for groups of family and friends. The housekeeper, who visits daily on request, can cook our guests delicious Moroccan tagines and couscous from our in-house menu and the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering . A comfortable salon, with open wood burning fire, has views over the town of Essaouira. Four traditionally decorated en-suite bedrooms are located over three floors and all have views of Essaouira towards the sea.

Once in Morocco: Private transfer booked through the owner - to ensure guests are brought right to the door safely and in comfort. Price of a single trip to Essaouira from Marrakech Airport: Mercedes ( up to 4 people) 600mad, 4 x 4 or small MPV (up to 6 people) is 1,000mad or a large MPV (up to 8 people) is 1,200mad . An additional 200mad on each price for collections from Agadir airport or locations within the city. Essaouira Airport - 350 mad one way for a large MPV. In Essouira: Petit Taxi blue Cost 7 Dh in the days and 8 Dh at night per journey Exellent shared taxi. Hail from the pavement or ranks to anywhere within the town

Interaction with guest

I contact all guests personally from the UK and am happy to answer any questions and assist with our guests travel plans around Morocco. Fouad our guest manager will meet our guests on their arrival and supply keys and necessary information on the property and town. Fouad is available for advice and in case of incident or accident 24/7 via a guest mobile that is supplied on arrival. He speaks English and French. Karima, the property housekeeper, will be introduced to guests on arrival, visits daily on request, and can cook and prepare meals on request from a menu supplied.

“Wonderful Riad with great access and roof top terrace”

Wow we have just returned from a 10 day stay at Dar Doughri, a very nice spacious accommodation, with very easy 5 minute walk to the Medina and around 10 minute walk to the lovely beach. We loved the Roof terrace for having meals and enjoying the evening sun. The breakfast and dinner was provided at a reasonable price by Karima on request and was wonderful and plentiful. Well worth considering if staying. Karima was excellent as she was there cleaning, cooking and washing which was a bonus to our holiday. We loved the big bath for our girls at bath time and with so many bathrooms there was no waiting in the mornings.The rooms were all clean and spacious with nice comfortable beds. This area was very safe and secure. Around the beach there is a lot of work being done to regenerate the area and the promenade which once done will really enhance the beach area. We had a very enjoyable time going through all the various nooks in the Medina and it is definitely worth it, just remember to barter. It was great meeting Fouad who was available anytime and very helpful with any enquires, even though he must have many identical brothers as we kept bumping into him in the Medina!! The owner Fiona was very helpful and was only an email or Whatsapp away if anything was needed. This was a lovely place to stay, all the family members really enjoyed their stay, the only downside is if you don't like stairs then you will love them by the end of your holiday and have legs of steel!! Thank you Fiona x

We had a great time and we were so well looked after. The breakfasts were amazing! The house was very clean. We just loved it and would return in the future. It was also very good value.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
