Charlie and Anna White welcome guests to their Escape and Retreat Glamping site at Frenches Farm. It is a very special place to come and stay. In

The Glamping site is very private, surrounded by the most wonderful farm land,with stunning far reaching views for many miles. It has a unique setting within the farm.

You will stay in the most comfortable shepherds hut just next to a wood called the Spinney. Inside the hut you will sleep in the most lovely king size bed, enjoy the warmth of the cast iron stove, and enjoy the views from the stable doors. It boasts an amazing fully fitted bathroom in the wood, the warmth of wood burning hot tub, and the warmth of the fire pit when sitting out and gazing at the stars which seem endless here at Frenches Farm.The evening sunsets and morning sunrises are spectacular.

A delicious breakfast is included when you stay and enjoy home made produce of which can also be ordered if wanted. Please discuss this with your host.

The beauty is that when you stay here with us you do not have to use your car as the walking is spectacular here from Frenches Farm. We have many footpaths for guests to enjoy with wonderful and welcoming pubs on route.

Frenches Farm is a working farm with many acres of Arable crops and the live stock consist of, a suckling herd that calve in the spring, beef cattle, ducks, chickens, quail, and a large equestrian centre.

We would be delighted to give you a tour of the farm to see all the animals.

At Frenches farm we are happy for guests to enjoy riding and can organise lessons. If a guests wants to bring their horse then we can accommodate. Enjoy the wonderful hacks and riding in our indoor arena. We do however charge an extra fee for this.

Our Safety Practices

At Escape & Retreat we will be following the government guidelines with regard to making your experience Covid safe, ensuring that we do everything possible to ensure safety of our guests while staying in our glamping hut and using its enclosed area.

All guests will be asked to complete a Covid health and safety questionnaire which will be emailed to them, this must be returned immediately prior to your arrival.

On arrival the guests will be greeted by the host and shown to the glamping area adhering to the social distancing guidelines.

Our hot tub is available for use.We will ensure that prior to your arrival that the tub and it’s surrounding surfaces are sanitised. Full guidance on the use of the tub will be provided prior to your arrival.

For the foreseeable future there will now be a minimum stay of two nights. Cleanliness and hygiene safety control is paramount and there will be a 24 hr gap between any guests arriving at our glamping hut. This will be reviewed back to a one night minimum stay over the coming months depending on the government guidelines.

All food preparations provided by the host will be handled by wearing gloves and mask with the correct hand washing guidelines before.

All bed linen/ towels/tea towels must be placed within the bag provided by the host on departure.

All washing up of used plates, mugs, pots and pans, knives and forks and cooking utensils must be washed up by using hot water and detergent provided by the host. The items used can then be removed on departure by the host and sterilised before returning back to the cooking area.

Arrival times will stay the same - 2pm arrival, departure 11am.

How do damage deposits work?

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Anna (the owner) a message.

If Anna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
