Nice 3 main rooms, 80 m2, 100 m from the bus and railway stations, the pedestrianized Old Town, its Venetian canals, its ancient monuments, its local market and restaurants, 500 m from the lake through the pedestrian streets of the old town. High ceilings, wooden floors and wall paneling, this is a family apartment, warm in winter and cool in summer, in the city center, you can rent for less than the price of a room hotel, we preferred to keep all the character at the expense perhaps of little comfort. The apartment is on the 4th floor. The building is almost exclusively inhabited by elderly and neighbors 5th floor living abroad and are almost always absent. It is necessary to respect the quiet of the building. A large entrance hall welcomes you. Right, in the large tiled kitchen or on the balcony that extends it, you can have your breakfast watching the surrounding mountains. No "kitchen" but everything you need is there: electric stove with oven, fridge / freezer, microwave, coffee maker, raclette etc ... left the living room or you can enjoy your meal, watch TV. .., with its sofa bed that can turn into a double bed. The two large bedrooms (17 and 18m2) each have a 160x185 bed. There is room to add an extra mattress. Accuracy: The rental price of the apartment does not include Bed linen (12 euros per bed payable locally) but you can bring your own. In case of bad weather, within 200m of the apartment you can enjoy a dozen cinemas, a FNAC, theaters, restaurants or the many historical monuments of the old city. If you like fondue or raclette, the restaurant is a must Freti (more than reservations recommended). To access the beaches, once arrived at the lake you follow this one to either side on a good km. Take a bit of hard bread to ducks, swans, seagulls and coots who solicit you. If you are cycling or rollerblading, bike paths will take you around the lake (40 km). If you are hiking, start up the castle, continue on the Church of the Visitation and continue in the forest of Semnoz. You will meet sheep and deer in semi freedom. Go as the Glières plateau, climb the Parmelan, Mont VERIER, climb the Col de la Forclaz and descend hang gliding over the lake if you like thrills. Do not miss the visit of Menton castle full of secret passages that Omine the lake. In short you will have plenty to do around the lake. You can also visit in less than an hour drive to Geneva or Chamonix. And winter the Semnoz ski family resort is 30 minutes from the apartment; have less than 20 euros package for the whole day (and packages per hour). For the most demanding skier the resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand await. And if you do not have a car, you can go in for in all these stations from the bus station 100 meters from the apartment (about 35 euros a day package with the RA bus). Also the possibility of cross country skiing and snowshoeing years these stations. For that, I recommend instead the Semnoz where the view of the valley and Mont Blanc is superb.

House rules

Pets are allowed if they are not noisy and they are clean. You can smoke if sufficient ventilation for smoke odors disappear. but the best is to be confined to the balcony especially if there are several smoking. Thank you not to ask to book at the last moment.

Monsieur Je n'ai jamais caché que cet appartement a quelques années de même que les meubles qui y sont. Ce sont les meubles dont nous avons hérité mes soeurs et moi, à exception des 4 chaises de la cuisine, des 4 chaises du séjour, du canapé, des matelas, de la cuisinière, du frigidaire etc... que j'ai acheté récemment. Mais c'est vrai que la salle de bains n'est pas moderne, la douche est dans la baignoire et nous avons conservé le lavabo d'origine, de même que l'évier dans la cuisine. Nous n'avons pas non plus retiré la faïence ni les boiseries anciennes mais sachez, Monsieur, que pour certaines personnes dont nous sommes, l'ancien a un certain charme, même s'il est parfois un peu abimé; ce qui ne veut pas dire qu'il est sale pour autant. Rachel, la personne qui accueille généralement les voyageurs, y fait le ménage régulièrement. D'ailleurs je vous ai donné le lien vers un autre site très connu où l'appartement est également en location et vous avez pu constater qu'il y a déjà 16 avis très positifs depuis qu'il y est, depuis à peine 2 ans. Enfin, c'est vrai que certains placards sont fermés à clé car nous venons assez régulièrement dans cet appartement où nous laissons des effets personnels. Mais je pense qu'il reste suffisamment de place disponible. C'est vrai aussi que c'était là votre première location par un tel site et n'ayant probablement fréquenté jusqu'alors que des hôtels impersonnels de grand standing, vous avez certainement été désorienté par un logement de famille quelque peu atypique et personnalisé.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Jean (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
