From the owner

This comfortable, ground floor holiday cottage, formerly part of the farmer's house is the perfect base for a peaceful break – a relaxing base from which to enjoy this wonderful corner of Fife. This semi-detached, contemporary holiday home is in the centre of the picturesque hamlet of Kilrenny, in the heart of Fife's East Neuk.
Kilrenny is within a pleasant ten minute walk of picturesque Cellardyke harbour, and only slightly longer stroll to Anstruther, with its shops, restaurants and world renowned fish and chips.
The farm lodge is an ideal base for a family holiday in an area renowned for golf courses, there are sandy coves, boat trips to the Isle of May to see puffins and seals, plenty of coastal walks and water sports nearby, in Elie, coastal walks along the Fife Coastal Path, Sea Life Centre, Deer Park, Scotland's Secret Bunker and historic houses and gardens.
An ideal base from which to explore the East Neuk of Fife's quaint fishing villages of Anstruther, Crail, Pittenweem, St Monans & Elie strung along the coast, or easy access to Edinburgh, Dundee or Perth and The Trossachs.
The East Neuk is reknowned as the most picturesque area on the east coast of Scotland, its beautiful shoreline dotted along its length with quaint little fishing villages clustered round their harbours.
As a base for an enjoyable family holiday, it can hardly be bettered. The main road bypasses most of the villages on the landward side, leaving them very peaceful and full of old world charm. There are quiet coves with lovely sandy beaches, ruined castles, lighthouses, boat trips, & cycling along the many signposted routes in the East Neuk, excellent eateries, and, (this being Fife), plenty of golf as well. The Fife Coastal path runs the length of the East Neuk and offers fairly easy and highly scenic walking, with the added bonus of a good bus service (No. 95) which will take you home again if you decide not to go both ways on foot.
The Lodge offers a warm, charming base close to the restaurants, pubs, shops and attractions of Anstruther. St Andrews and the other coastal villages are only a few minutes' drive, with Edinburgh just over an hour away by car. Ideal for couples seeking a romantic hideaway, outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers, or ,families looking for a rural retreat, or, golfers looking to mark their cards at any one of the many premier courses, including the famous Old Course at St Andrews.
Kilrenny Common, with children's' play area and woodland trail, are within a short walk of the cottage. The Lodge is secluded and quiet yet with amenities only a short walk/drive away, has an enclosed garden to the rear, safe for young children, and a pleasant place to relax after a hard day's fun..
