Poggio del Gallo is a well-restored villa just 6km from the lovely town of Arezzo. Is set on a secluded ridge, overlooking vineyards and olive groves, with the historical hilltop town of Arezzo in the background. This privileged location combines the advantages of utmost privacy and tranquillity with the nearby amenities of a town. The house and gardens are meticulously maintained and the spacious, bright interiors are tastefully furnished and fitted with all modern conveniences. Lawns, patios and the pool area provide many opportunities for outdoor relaxation within the sheltered grounds.

This property is a modern structure which incorporates many traditional Tuscan design features, such as whitewashed walls, tiled floors, wood-beamed ceilings and wood-burning fireplaces. Its furnishings remain in keeping with this authentic style and include large, dark wood dining tables, sideboards and glass-fronted dressers and cupboards. The bathrooms, all en suite, and kitchens are, however, fully equipped with the most up-to-date facilities, ensuring maximum comfort.

As the house is built on a variety of levels, secluded lawns, verandas and paved terraces are located at different elevations, affording ample opportunity for sunbathing or al fresco dining. A separate little stone structure on the back lawn houses the barbeque and wood-burning pizza oven, perfect for just such occasions.
Well-kept lawns, colourfully planted flowerbeds and shady olive trees surround the house, while taller conifers give shelter and protection at the front, towards the approach road. The entire grounds are securely fenced in.

From a quiet country road, with magnificent views over vines, olive groves and wooded hills to either side, you turn through entrance gates on to the villa’s gravel driveway, which brings you to the gravel forecourt. Decorating the surrounding lawns are terracotta urns filled with bright flowers.

A pathway leads you down to the rear of the property, where the pool (5 x 10 meters and 1 - 1.8 meters deep, open from May to September) terrace is closed off by another gate, as well as being fully fenced in. This suntrap setting boasts a superb scenic backdrop, embracing the unspoilt Tuscan countryside around Arezzo. Toilet, shower and changing-room facilities are provided by the little on-site pool house.
