Sunray Villa is a spacious luxury family villa in the unspoilt town of Argaka, near Polis. The villa enjoys a good degree of privacy in this peaceful area and offers a large private pool and well maintained garden. This 4 bed property has well-appointed rooms and is fantastically situated on a beautiful hilltop amongst the backdrop of the glorious Troodos mountains and pine forest. There are stunning uninterrupted views from the pool and spacious terrace over the orange groves down to the turquoise waters of the sea and coastline with the Akamas peninsula in the distance.
The ground floor open-plan living area is tastefully furnished through-out with quality furnishings including comfortable Italian sofas and all the modern amenities you need to make your stay relaxing, including dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave etc. This property benefits from air con in all rooms which can be used for either cooling or heating, so the villa can be enjoyed all year round (unlike most other villas our air con is included within the rental, we just ask you to turn it off when you aren’t in the property). The living room has the latest sound system you can connect your iPod or phone to via Bluetooth. The dining area has seating for 8 with patio doors leading out to the pool area, which when lit up at night provides a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Also on the ground floor is the first double bedroom, together with en-suite shower room. This bedroom has its own patio which provides stunning views of the rolling green forest on the mountains to the rear of the villa.
The staircase leading to the second floor, where the remaining 3 bedrooms (2 twins & the master) are found also boasts panoramic views of the hills. The master double bedroom has its own private balcony which offers sweeping views of the countryside down to the sea. The two twin rooms both have private balconies offering splendid views, one of the mountains at the rear and the other the orange tree groves and sea views. All rooms also have their own private en-suite bathrooms.
Outside surrounding the large private pool there is a spacious paved sunbathing terrace with sun beds and large umbrellas. A table and chairs are provided on the elevated patio for alfresco dinning, which provides idyllic views. Off the terrace and patio is a well-tended garden and lawn area.
Walking distance from the villa are some tavernas situated right on the sea front (20min walk). But if you fancy exploring further afield the villa is situated a short drive from Polis where you can relax in the square with a choice of many tavernas and restaurants and enjoy a drink with the locals. Polis is served by the fishing port of Latchi close by. Latchi is reputed for its fish taverns, sea sport facilities and boat rides up to the Akamas Peninsula. The Akamas is a nature reserve area with numerous walking trails where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the bay of Polis while you explore and it is also renowned as the location of the fabled Baths of Aphrodite. There are plenty of activities you can experience in the area if you get tired of relaxing by the pool. In Latchi you can enjoy pretty much any water sport (including hiring a boat and taking it along the Akamas coast up to the Blue Lagoon). Also available in the surrounding area you can go fishing, go-karting, golfing, walking, hire quad bikes or experience a jeep safari. We have a lot of experience of the area so are happy to provide recommendations for trips out or local places to eat and drink.
As an Island in the South Mediterranean, Cyprus has one of the best climates in Europe with a massive 340 days of sunshine a year and average summer temperatures around 30 degrees. Spring and Autumn are also great times to visit with warm weather appearing as early as April, when the mercury gets into the low 20s. Autumn is perfect for hiking in the Akamas or exploring the Troodos mountains.
