Cottage Canigou is located in the typical, quiet Catalan village of Villelongue dels Monts, near Argeles Sur Mer and Collioure, in the most southerly and sunniest region of France. Beaches just 15mins by car.

Renowned for the Sun, Sea and Mountains and with 300 days of sunshine – this is a majestic location.

Cottage Canigou is a 'quaint ands quirky' recently renovated and modernised stone Roussillon Cottage comprising 2 / 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to sleep up to 6 + cot, and benefits from a shared garden and swimming pool (9m x 6m).

Note shared garden and pool with adjacent cottage.

Ground Floor :

Hallway, spacious double bedroom, suitable for cot, if required. 1 x Bathroom & WC and 1 x Wet-Room (shower & WC). Bathroom is equipped with washing machine, adjacent to Hallway with access to Cottage garden.

First Floor :

Bedroom No. 2 – double / triple. Fully fitted cottage-style kitchen with oven & hob, refrigerator, freezer and microwave. Living room / lounge with flat-screen TV / FilmOn. South facing views over the court-yard. Baby cots, high chairs and stair-gate available at no extra cost.

Third Floor / Loft Room :

Het spijt ons te horen over uw eigen feedback na uw verblijf in ons eigendom - Cottage Canigou. Vreemd dat je dat moet zeggen, aangezien het pand zeker niet oud is (het is in 2006 volledig gerenoveerd en is sindsdien naar een hoog niveau onderhouden. De gemiddelde leeftijd van de matrassen is ongeveer 4 jaar oud, en wat betreft de opmerkingen over het zwembad - zie 4-sterrenrecensie van andere eerdere gasten. We hebben wel opgemerkt dat uw reservering voor 2 personen was en u met 5 personen en een hond arriveerde...! Iets dat er helemaal niet is ?? We are sorry to hear about your own feedback after your stay at our property - Cottage Canigou. Strange you have to say that as the property is by no means old (it was completely renovated in 2006 and has been maintained to a high standard ever since. The average age of the mattresses is about 4 years old, and as for the comments about the pool - see 4 star review from other previous guests. We did notice that your reservation was for 2 people and you arrived with 5 people and a dog...! Something not quite right there at all ??

Cottage Canigou is what we call quaint and quirky, and is a typical Roussillon / Catalan house with plenty of character - which we are pleased you enjoyed. Equally, the fact that it is located on the edge of the village, but just a 5mins walk to the shop, bar and 2 restaurants makes it ideal. It seems you were really energic and by using your bike to get around were able to visit any of the other local villages and truly take in the ambiance of the region. We look forward to hearing from you when you wish to return and to be able to host you again.

Thank you for your review and it was a pleasure to host another couple from Australia - this time in Cottage Canigou, which is quaint and quirky. Since your visit we have installed an additional length of handrail for the last remaining 1.3m of staircase. Previous feedback from guests has been that Cottage Canigou has been suitable for families from the age of 2 to 72. You are quite right, Cottage Canigou is not ideal for those with mobility concerns and thanks for pointing this out - it will help us to ensure that potential guests are aware of this, to avoid any disappointment. To assist, floor plans on our website indicate the layout of the stairs and rooms etc. We are glad you had time to visit the local villages and the nearest beach at La Racou (Argeles Sur Mer).

How do damage deposits work?
