The Gecko is an ideal holiday villa for anyone looking for peace and quiet with an easy way of life. In the words of one of our recent guests "a beautifully maintained villa in an idyllic location" (July 2018).

The villa is well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It is comfortably furnished, well decorated and fully air conditioned.

If your idea of paradise is waking up in a morning to the sound of crickets and the occasional distant cockerel or donkey then you've found it!

Located only 2Km from the blue flag beach of Arillas along with the resort's restaurants and cafe bars. Villa Gecko provides amazing panoramic sea and island views by day time and even more spectacular sunsets (one every day).

The area provides fantastic scenery round almost every corner and is ideal for those with walking in mind with quiet roads and little used tracks to explore.

By car, there are many interesting places to visit within easy reach, including traditional villages, largely untouched by tourism, or just explore the hills and valleys within this fantastic countryside. The rugged coast of this area offers a surprising variety of smaller beaches as well as the spectacular beauty of Paleokastritsa and the simple beauty of nearby Afionas (considered to be the most beautiful village on Corfu).

Villa Gecko is a detatched property consisting of an open plan living area on the ground floor with a well equipped, fully fitted kitchen, dining and lounge area leading to a large west facing patio overlooking the sea. There is a separate toilet (English plumbing!) and further east facing terrace, ideal for breakfasts, with views of the olive groves with the mountains of Albania in the distance.

The villa is air-conditioned and is equipped with a flat screen TV and DVD player with a selection of DVDs. There is also a small library of books which you are free to make use of. The only thing we ask is that the guide and cookery books are left at the villa. We have also provided a CD Player with iPOD doc and a music library.

The first floor has 2 double size bedrooms, and a large bathroom (English plumbing) complete with bath & separate shower cubicle. Both bedrooms have access to a large shared balcony, again with spectacular sea, island & sunset views.

The gardens are lawned and edged with Oleander and Honeysuckle. We have planted a variety of fruit trees and Mediterranean plants and flowers typical to the region.
(Note: due to the elevated nature of the gardens, young children should be appropriately supervised at all times).

The Villa is edged with stone paving and the driveway to the side provides ample parking space.

There are 4 sun loungers and parasol, 2 swinging seats and a hammock.

The Villa is maintained by an English couple who live nearby. They will make contact with you shortly afer your arrival to welcome you and answer any questions. They are on hand to provide any help you may need during your stay. Due to the uncertainty of arrival times access arrangements will be confirmed shortly before your arrival date. Directions from Corfu airport are provided by ourselves, however the grid reference for the villa is: 39º 44' 10.0N 19º 39' 59.7E

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Graham (the owner) a message.

If Graham (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
