Should you feel like stretching your legs, Sunny our large friendly dog would be happy to accompany you on our 33 acres of hiking trails just outside your private entrance. Stroll through Sharon’s flower and square foot gardens. Follow the stream up the mountain. Relax sitting on a comfortable swing as you enjoy the mountain view and let the sight & sound of the babbling brook carry your cares away. You’re only 200 yards from the house...with more unique “pretty places” and 3 more swings along several private hiking trails if you would like to indulge yourself with a longer walk in the woods.
Of course we’re also happy to share information on the many hikes we know in nearby National Forests. Including Mount Mitchell and Craggy Dome...a short, beautiful drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
When you've had enough of the woods (if that’s possible) you are 10 miles from Downtown Asheville, best known for its diverse restaurants, interesting night life, fabulous music, art galleries, street musicians, Southern hospitality and eclectic vibe. You are also less than 3 miles to the quaint, artsy town of Weaverville with its interesting eateries and free parking.
For those winter guests please keep in mind, should it snow, having a four wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended to get up our driveway. However even when it does snow it's usually melted by the next day.
