From the owner

Old Camms Barn and Owl Barn are situated on a south facing hillside just 2 mins. walk from the River Ure. The Barn offers spacious accommodation with a bedroom on a mezzanine floor, and shower room with rainfall shower. There is a well equipped kitchen and access to a games room by separate arrangement. The living room has a stunning fireplace with log burner and a second dining area perfect for romantic evenings.

Hawes is just 4kms and on the other side of the river where you will find a good selection of small independent shops including a newsagents, butchers, bakers and pharmacy. The local Health Centre is also located in Hawes.

We are well situated in relation to public footpaths around the Upper Dales and little more than an hours drive to the Southern Lakes of Cumbria. The East Coast is accesible as is Northumberland and the Eden Valley. There are racecourses at York, Thirsk, Wetherby, Catterick and Ripon all within easy reach and opportunities for fishing in season.

A barbeque area is available in the old sheep pen and a secure outbuilding is on hand to store cycles etc.There is ample parking and a secluded outside area with barbecue and seating.

On foot, cycle or by car you are sure to be impressed by the vast scale of the surrounding landscape. Camms complex enjoys a very peaceful setting.With no light pollution the night skies can be clearly seen, and sunsets are spectacular.

Why can't I call Terri (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Terri (the owner) a message.

If Terri (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
