We welcome guests to stay in our beautiful home, set in the rolling plains of North County Dublin, 15 minutes from Dublin Airport.
Our large house has 4 bedrooms, one en suite, kitchen, living room and sitting room/dining room. Ample parking behind an electric gate. Outdoor seating and lawn for the long summer evenings. Enclosed outdoor area to exercise your dog.
Both 30 minutes to Dublin City Centre and to Newgrange and the Boyne Valley. Close to long beaches and many golf- and race-courses
The house sleeps 8 adults, plus a double day bed in the master bedroom and a camp bed which can be placed wherever needed for additional guests (especially younger ones). There is also a travel cot for our youngest guests.
The master bedroom is en suite and has a TV, one other bedroom has twin beds. There are 2 other bathrooms with showers, baths, etc. Towels, soaps, etc. are of course all supplied.
Ballyboughal is a small, charming, rural village, but still within County Dublin. A well-stocked supermarket is within a short walking distance. Also within walking distance, there is a new restaurant, takeaway and a traditional Irish country pub. Regular traditional music is played there and at the parish hall.
Outside the village, we are surrounded by golf courses and links for every handicap of player, from the local pitch and putt to Portmarnock Golf Club.
The horse enthusiast has a number of local riding schools to visit and is within easy distance of Fairyhouse Racecourse and Tattersalls Sales, and only about an hour from the Curragh and the RDS.
For the kids, or the kids at heart, Tayto Park is 22 minutes away, easily can lose a day there at the theme park and zoo. Or visit the Traditional Farm at Newbridge House in Donabate.
Newgrange and the wonders of the Boyne Valley are only 30 minutes away, and Ballyboughal is perfect for exploring other parts of the Ireland's Ancient East as well. And also perfect for a stroll on the various long beaches all along the coastline, perhaps visiting picturesque seaside towns like Skerries, Malahide and Howth.
And of course, Dublin city centre is only 30 minutes away, a city that needs no description here.
A car would be necessary for access. It is a 11 minute drive to Donabate train station, with trains to Dublin or Belfast. Also can gets buses to Dublin from Donabate or from Swords (15 minutes away). Large number of long distance buses departing from Dublin Airport too.
