Location description from owner

The Western Ireland region

The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.

Ballycastle

Ballycastle is a small but thriving village, whose ancestry and heritage can be experienced at the Ceide Fields Centre, where you can visit the Interpretative Centre which is built beside one of the world's oldest Stone Age monuments. The spectacular cliffs at Ceide reach 365m, and offer sensational, panoramic views, and the area also offers an abundance of splendid sandy beaches.
