o “Ballymahon is off the beaten Irish tourist route, but this is what we were looking for. We had planned our vacation to see and investigate family history in the surrounding towns of Cavan and Roscommon. Visiting the nearby villages and hamlets is always a part of our vacations. Ballymahon itself has everything that we required from a supermarket, pubs and music, dinner in a fine hotel. The nearby city of Athlone provided a whole day of site seeing and historical perspective. To come back to this Irish Cottage at the end of the day made it very special. Our stay in this cottage was memorable, enjoyable and highly recommended by us.”
