- Very Good
Lovely comfortable fully equipped cottage with cows and sheep for neighbours. Lovely garden and a few miles from a large supermarket if required. Had a very enjoyable week.
We had a fantastic time here. However, I have a suggestion. There should be a name plate of the home on the roadside indicating the direction, so it's convenient for people reaching this place late in the night, as there are no street lights, it becomes difficult to locate this beautiful place.
“Lovely Cottage, perfect for our family Break”
The Location is great for a base to visit the towns & villages of the Lake District. The cottage has amazing countryside views & is perfect for a large family to relax & unwind, also with being pet friendly it allows you to enjoy long dog walks finishing of at the local pub (The Punch Bowl) served very good food, Alison the owner is very helpful & will certainly visit again
“Lovely peaceful cottage with excellent views”
The location about 2.5 miles from Kendal on a quiet lane suited us perfectly. Yaffles has lovely views and the fresh flowers in nearly every room made the cottage extremely welcoming. I loved the place, clean, light, spacious and homely. The only slight downside is the kitchen. It is a decent size and well equipped but the minimum storage space and few work surfaces were slightly frustrating when cooking an evening meal. The area is great for walking and there are numerous good routes for cycling. The nearby Lakeland Maze Park is less than a mile away and was a great hit.
“Amazing weekend away!”
Everything was there, beautiful views ,amazing place! We were so lucky with the weather. It was best weekend away ever Thank you so much
“Comfortable holiday accommodation”
Great location and well equipped house. Child and dog friendly. Plenty space both inside and out. Loved watching all the wildlife and trains go by! Would stay again.
“Home from Home”
We booked Yaffles so we could attend a funeral in Kendal. It was an excellent base, close to Kendal but far enough out for peace & quiet. Beautiful views with added interest of seeing the trains go past. Clean, comfortable, solid furniture, very comfy beds, warm & cosy. Really enjoyed jogging up 'The Helm' which isn't far from the property.
